Thought I'd start a line thread... Because we all end up with line eyes with these things!

For mine - not sure when I ovulated, my cycles run 26 - 34 days but do average out at 29 according to my app. I'm on CD 28. Test taken yesterday. Two taken the day before are the same. I've done a water test and there is no one at all on that one. Home bargains test strip.
(I'll be honest and say we weren't trying, if I am this one has slipped thro the birth control..)

I don't feel pregnant and with these lines I'm not convinced.

Lets see all yours 🫣😁

I see a line ☺️ would you be happy if you are? What made you decide to test?

im not familiar with that style of test though, I’m sure someone else will come along and know more.

heres my ‘line’… also CD 28, 3 days til my period is due. I’m having lots of pregnancy symptoms and just feel like my period isn’t going to come but this line is so faint, even on a Boots 5 days early test. Worried it’s an evap as I’ve never used an early test before.

I'm not sure how I'd feel tbh. Be a blessing as my last baby was stillborn but that adds to my worry.

I had to take a morning after pill this month but it was right on the cusp of allowed timescale of 5 days, then I've been battling feeling a bit yukky for a few days.

I can just about see a line on yours! Exciting... Is this your first?

@OnNaturesCourse im so sorry to hear about your stillbirth ❤️ if you are I’m sure the midwives would give you extra care because of that to help everything run smoothly. Do you think you’ll do another test in a few days?

If I am, it’ll be our second! Our first is 2. We tried for a few years and had a couple of mcs before him so it’d be nice to get pregnant the first month of trying this time but we’ll see!

id be excited - we do want another - but a bit scared of the sheer chaos that will ensue and naturally I will worry throughout the pregnancy too.

OnNaturesCourse · 12/04/2024 15:44

I have a early detection test ordered, should arrive tomorrow. I've been fighting nausea today but that could easily be down to worry!

That's a lovely little age gap. There is just over 3 years between my eldest and youngest. I found it a good gap and they get on, reasonably, nowadays.

I can see a line on both!

Peonyyyy · 12/04/2024 16:44

@OnNaturesCourse oh that’s lovely to hear. How old are your two now?

@imy yay!! Thank you!!

OnNaturesCourse · 12/04/2024 17:10

6 and just turned 3... Wild ages lol

@OnNaturesCourse congratulations!! How do you feel?

OnNaturesCourse · 13/04/2024 10:53

Honestly... Scared.

Scared witless that'll I'll be burying another baby. Scared of the idea of termination. Scared of pretty much every option.

I hear you.
I'd contact your local hospital and find out what support they have available.
I had a programme of reassurance scans . I'm sure that there will be something similar for you. They'll know that they need to support the metal health of women who haven't had a positive pregnancy outcome.

OnNaturesCourse · 13/04/2024 13:21

@GrimDamnFanjo thank you, if we decided to proceed we will definitely contact a support team. I just feel like any pregnancy would be such a strain now whereas before it was only the first 12 weeks that stressed me - now the whole thing feels like a massive risk.

How is everyone, and their lines, getting on?

OP posts:
skr97 · 19/04/2024 10:40

Hi, could you guys look at my tests? My boots one looks similar to @Peonyyyy i think, how are you getting on?
@OnNaturesCourse is that an FRER that showed such a strong line for you?
Both my tests were taken yesterday, around 10dpo, did 2 more today and an even fainter barely there line on the strip test, can’t see anything on the boots test

I see something on both! Extremely faint but unusual to get evaps on two different brands at the same time.

I used the FRER around 9 - 12 DPO. I wasn't tracking ovulation. Basically I knew I was due on over the weekend and I tested the Friday.

I got a stronger line on the Sunday, so 48 hours after.

My lines on the cheapie tests were good too but yesterday I had two fainter lines. Thankfully they look stronger again today. I was drinking loads of water yesterday so I'm hoping that's all it was.

Remember, the tests all detect different levels of the HCG hormone. FRER is something like 6, whereas most others are between 10 & 25. I think Boots Early are around 10?

I'd suggest trying a FRER in 24-48 hours after a good urine hold.

@OnNaturesCourse thank you so much, I really appreciate your reply, makes me feel less insane 😅. I will order some FRER and test tomorrow and Sunday.
Glad to hear your lines are stronger today! And so sorry that you had to go through a still birth, I can’t even imagine how difficult that was 💐

@OnNaturesCourse Thank you😊I am feeling better already and planning for the next cycle. AF is due on Monday, the FRER today was completely blank, so I would only test again if late by several days
@GreenPickle I can see something on your test- good luck! All you can do is re-test tomorrow/in a few days to check for progression

Peonyyyy · 21/04/2024 09:14

Hey @skr97 i tested the day my period was due and it was negative on an early response test, I then started spotting brown so I was like oh yes that’s my period.

but all week I’ve been waiting and my period hasn’t properly come on, it’s just brown spotting on and off and I’ve had the odd bit of fresh blood when I wipe. I’m so confused now and I bit worried as I did have a few drinks this week thinking I was definitely out. I might do another test today as I’m a bit worried now.

usually my period has come on heavier/like a proper period by now!

Deffo another test! What early response one did you do?

Peonyyyy · 21/04/2024 09:34

@GreenPickle it was a boots one, pink dye, this is the first time I’ve used them. I figured if it’s negative on the day my period is due then I must be out, hence the drinking etc 😬 (only a couple but still)

my period haven’t been as regular since having my son, not exact 30 day cycles like they were and generally longer overall with spotting before they kick in. It’s hard to say because this is the first month trying I haven’t been scrutinising day by day what my previous periods have been like so really hard to know if this is what normally happens or not with my periods now.

Plus I’m so busy with a toddler the weeks go so fast, and I track it on my Glow app but not whether it was proper blood or spotting.

I have one test left so will probably do it later.

Ah I haven't used that one! I have just purchased the clearblue 6 day early digital one (I feel like it's fairly new). I did get FRER from Amazon but it was BFN whilst my easy@home were vvvvfl so wondered if you had used the FRER!

Annoying about your periods! It's hard not to decipher stuff but I guess patience is key even though it's so hard. I think all you can do is wait and test and maybe just keep adding symptoms as they come to compare next time.

Keep me updated on your next test!
