OPK help please.. first time of using

Hi all,

this is the first month I’ve downloaded the Premom app and uploading OPK’s test.
LMP started 01/04 and it seems my cycles can be 26- 30ish. The app told me to start LH testing on 08/04 which is what I did.

i always thought I ovulated around CD14/15 from CM but do you think from the test below that my surge was CD10 and that I’m probably ovulating around CD10/11?

from the tests I put in Premom moved my ovulation from CD13 to CD12… tomorrow.

your help is much appreciated as this is all new to me

This is very true , I didn’t even think of that. It was only when I was reading on here about twice a day testing on CD10 that I thought I best start as some people get a really quick surge. Is CD10 not really really early to ovulate !?

I’d be astonished if that was your peak - keep testing. When you see it getting darker again then test two or even three times in a day. Never use FMU for ovulation testing. Good luck!

@Mumma8538 yeah it is pretty early. My cycles are around 33 days and my peak is usually cd19 but I get the ewcm around 5 days before ovulation so around CD15. Keep testing twice a day. Have you been making sure you limit fluids and holding for as long as possible too? If you're just getting cm now I think it'll be another few days - that's my experience anyway!

I think I’m just testing wrong and it’s going to come shortly as I’m getting EWCM now so I’ll keep testing and do it the way I’ve been told above

Thank you , you are teaching me so much! No I didn’t realise either it’s like a pregnancy test and best to hold and limit fluid. I’ve been doing it all completely wrong, not surprised my tests are rubbish . It will be interesting to see what my tests start doing over the next few days !

Noooo - it’s not like a pregnancy test! You don’t need to limit fluids and you shouldn’t use first morning urine! Good luck 😊

@S4ll4 it definitely does have somewhat of an affect. I had a positive the other day, I wanted to see if that was my peak and took another test a couple of hours later but I had drank loads and the line was really faint. I then made sure I limited my water intake and sure enough it was dark again by the next time I took a test a few hours later.

Definitely keep testing @Mumma8538 this was my test from this evening, I purposely didn’t drink much beforehand & it was over 2 on the Premom app! I’m CD 17 now, so you’re 100% still in the game ☺️

Wow that is a clear positive test ! I am still testing and have changed it to around 12 and then in the evening. I held my wee and didn’t drink much this evening and was clearer to see but I def don’t think I’ve had my peak yet … I am CD14 today and maybe I am a later ovulator so will keep going.

Yes you probably do. I always thought I ovulated around CD14/15 - obviously not! I’m going to take it as O day today, so 1DPO tomorrow. Let me know how you get on!! @Mumma8538

@JasmineZMD still testing and not going higher than the CD9/10 and the other strange thing I have is normally have tender boobs around ovulation as in this time but nothing. I’m wondering maybe I’m not ovulating this month as my AF was 4 days early this month .
oh how exciting for you , how do you find the TWW do you really want to test early or wait until AF late? Do you symptom spot?

@Mumma8538 Maybe you did ovulate early! Did you do the deed around then? & What CD are you now? It’s so hard to know what’s going on isn’t it! I’m the worst for symptom spotting & doing a million tests before I should 🫣 I find the TWW absolute torture! I’ll probably start testing from Mon/Tues (7/8DPO), majorly setting myself up for a lot of upset I know - AF just feels so far away & I really can’t help it 🤣

@JasmineZMD could well of been yesterday I had a rise in the morning to 0.49 but the afternoon and evening it dropped again slightly so going to keep on testing today. I did dtd on CD10 . Today I’m CD18, quite interesting doing these test though, think it’s a month of experimenting ! Have you notice any symptoms yet or is it still too early ? It’s like the longest 2 weeks , you never know it might not be torture! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you

Ooooo @JasmineZMD just got my first high reading 0.87.. looks like I’m a later ovulator !

That’s brilliant! @Mumma8538 I was late this month too, I got my high at 9:30am on CD 17, then by 7pm that night I had my peak. So exciting, definitely try to DTD today!

No symptoms over here yet, hopefully there will be something by then end of the weekend. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏼

Excellent @Mumma8538… I would test again at 4pm and 10pm to see how things go and to make sure you don’t miss a peak. Tomorrow too. It’s worth it while you’re getting to know your cycle.

That's great! It can be disheartening when you don't see it get darker but that's great you did stick with it.

I’m 8/9 DPO, so super early still but I couldn’t resist & this is my test from this evening🫣 What do you think? Super faint I know, I’ve got some FRER coming in the morning. I don’t know how I’ll sleep tonight 😆

@JasmineZMD ahhhhh that looks positive to me 🥰 how very very exciting !!! Bet you can’t believe your eyes !! And that is also an evening test so not even FMU! Do another this morning !!!

I am 5DPO today no symptoms to report here , still thinking I didn’t actually ovulate as didn’t get my normal sore boobs after ovulation until AF

The only thing I had was cramping at 6/7 DPO, so definitely let me know how you get on!! I think you did ovulate CD18 - fingers crossed for you😁

& Ahhh thank you I know, the lack of sleep was real!!🤣The top is my FRER from yesterday morning, the line is such a squinter you can barely see it & the bottom is the one I have just taken when my new tests came this afternoon. So line is definitely getting darker.🤞🏼
