Medichecks v Hertility - anyone had either?

Hi all,

I'm considering doing private testing to check my hormone levels and any signs of issues as been struggling to conceive #2 for a while and my age is of concern.

Has anyone used either of the above and any recommendations on type of test? I've seen Hertility advertised but had a quick search on here and others have previously recommended Medichecks.

Thanks for any advice / info

I'm in the same boat, and very interested in this too!

I used Hertility in January and was really impressed. The kit was a bit of a faff, and I had to get my husband to help but the results came back quickly and were really clear and you also had the option of booking with a doctor to explain them for an extra fee. I'd recommend them if you're looking for some reassurance.

That's for the positive feedback. Did you have much trouble collecting the sample? The reason I started looking at medi was that they do a full blood draw for you rather then struggling with finger pick at home although I'm not actually sure what each test for. Can I ask which test you had done? Maybe I'll email both companies and see what you get with each test.

Sorry @Bugdem123 just re read and you did mention the collection of sample was a bit of a pain. Thanks for the info

Hi I recently used Hertility.

I was really impressed and personally found the kit really easy to use with no problems.

Results came back within 10 days and as previous post said, very thorough and options for follow up. I've personally taken these results to my GP to have a couple repeated. Most of my results came back normal but a couple were very slightly out of range. It's nice having the information to hand to take to your GP if needed!

It was a bit of a faff but once I got the right bit of my finger pricked, the wee tube filled up really quickly so I think the initial difficulty I had was my fault!

I had my AMH, FSH, LH, Oestrogen, prolactin, Free thyroxine and TSH tested.

Very happy with Hh.

Used twice

They test a lot of things

Very detailed results

Additionally - i have a call with a hormone and fertility specialist there next week

Highly recommend

Hey there, I've used both 🤣

I struggled getting the sample with hertility but managed to get it eventually. I liked the way the results were laid out. I made the mistake of getting the non pcos one because I didn't show any symptoms of it, turns out I should've got the pcos one just to cover all bases.

Medichecks was more expensive but gave me a better insight to my overall health. I went for the ultimate performance once which tests literally everything except AMH, which hertility does test for. A home nurse came out to my house to take the sample and posted it for me.

Both companies are super quick and provide a detailed report, so you can't go wrong really.
