I'm currently taking Proceive and Vitamin c.

Part of me is worrying that I'm over doing it on the vits.

Would I better just taking vitamin c, vitamin b complex and folic acid.

Dying to have a normal pregnancy and bring home a baby.

Honestly OP, whatever is easiest for you, or whatever you are comfortable with.

I just took the Pregnacare Preconception tablets and they included the folic acid as well, now 9 months pregnant and waiting to pop! My midwife does always say though that lots of these preconception vits etc are a bit of a scam and a waste of money, unless you are actively deficient in something then all you “need” to take before conceiving is folic acid and even then folic acid doesn’t help you fall pregnant. Try not to overthink it & good luck! X

Does Procieve already have vitamin C in?
if you are really concerned I would ask a Naturopath to advise as some can check you for deficiencies etc first . I enjoyed videos by Nourish by Melanie if they're still on you tube, as full of tips for healthy pregnancy generally .
also choline is often little heard of but very good for brain development, i took supplements and it occurs naturally in egg yolk for example.
I also took a pregnancy safe fish oil.

The months before I finally conceived I was taking coq10 and DHA after reading success stories online and it worked for me.

Olika · 06/04/2024 14:34

Proceive already has vitamin C in it (150mg in basic version and 400mg in max version)
I was taking Proceive Max and Ubiquinol when I finally conceived. For me I think it was Ubiquinol that really made the difference.

Did it change your cycle or anything? I heard proceive max delays your cycle. I'm 33 but it's days 35 and over. Delighted it worked for you.

I have conceived 3 times, 2 early but I lost my twin boys at 29 weeks in November. I'm on cycle 4 now with no luck since.

I agree with this. It’s much better to get nutrients from a balance healthy diet. Ive only ever taken folic acid and Vit D supplements.

I'm worried now if I come off them will it strike an imbalance or something. I'm hradwrecked tbh. I had a twin loss in November at 29 weeks. Trying again is so hard.

I really wouldn’t worry too much about the vitamins OP, I’m so sorry for your loss and can totally appreciate how difficult trying again must be after that.

Thanks so much. I'm probably over thinking it.

I took Pregnacare for almost 2.5 years after my MC and then switched to Proceive Max and Ubiquinol and had no change in my cycles. As you are in your 30s I would take Proceive Max and Ubiquinol. But that's just my personal preference based on my long and frustrating journey to motherhood.
