Suspected chemical pregnancy. I started spotting on 22nd March followed by what I thought was a normal period for 7 days and I’m still spotting now. I thought my period had come a week early which was bizarre for me so I started ovulation tests on what would have been D7 of my cycle which were coming up very dark which is why I ended up doing a pregnancy test.
I’ve spoken to my GP who tried to get me in to the EPU but they wouldn’t see me as it isn’t after 6 weeks. They’ve referred me to gynae for a scan to make sure everything looks normal but they seemed surprised that I haven’t heard back yet but just told me to give it until tomorrow and then call back.
I’m having ‘normal’ period type pain, nothing severe and the bleed is light now but doesn’t seem to be reducing. I am just concerned that I’ve pretty much been bleeding for 14 days now. Doc examined my abdomen and was happy that it felt normal so maybe I’m just in my head with it. We’ve only been trying for a few months so I’ve never experienced anything like this before. He did a pregnancy test and said it was negative. He didn’t really say anything about how long I should expect to bleed but I suppose everyone is different.
I’m still getting very faint lines on my own pregnancy tests but they are fading, only testing to make sure they go away.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar and when I should be concerned that the bleeding hasn’t stopped? Dr google isn’t really helping..
