Pregnancy symptoms but not pregnant!

I conceived for the first time on my 5th round of ovulation induction. My 12 week scan 2 months ago sadly showed a MMC.

I'm now TTC again, on my first round of ovulation induction since the MC. AF is due today and I've felt lightheaded / nauseous for days, but I had a negative pregnancy test yesterday. The cycle I conceived, I'd had a positive test by this point. I also apparently have (a small amount of) retained tissue which may be causing issues. So I think I'm very likely not pregnant.

I just want to understand why I feel as if I AM pregnant. I'm having all the symptoms I had last time around, though they came later then - around 6 weeks, not around 4 as I would be now. I'm taking progesterone (and double the dose compared to the time I conceived) - could that be causing it?

PS - the nausea is absolutely not in my head! I hardly ever feel unwell - this is really unusual.

Hi OP, so sorry to hear about your loss.

The symptoms you’re describing although they are pregnancy symptoms, they all equally could be side effects/symptoms of ovulation inducing drugs & progesterone x

Sorry for your loss.
Yes, progesterone can make you have pregnancy symptoms. I just came off progesterone after my ivf transfer failed. I had all the pregnancy symptoms while taking it, which went away once I stopped.
