LH Strips help, have I peaked?

Hey ladies 👋🏼 Back TTC after a MM last year and a ruptured ectopic at the beginning of this year (Lost my right tube) 🌈

First time using Easy@Home brand for LH testing and I am getting confused because they always seem quite dark compared to my other brand... I have been ovulating around CD15 the last couple months but I got this quite dark test on CD10 yesterday... I've attached a photo (Top yesterday, bottom today).... I then got a fainter one this morning 🤔 Does this look like a positive? It just seems a lot earlier this month compared to my previous ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

Help a girl out, I'm debating going back to my other brand, but have heard good reviews on these so 🤔✨ 🌈

Sorry to hear that youve been through a lot hoping it happens for you soon. I don't think you've peaked just yet but you are getting there.

You should typically do an LH test between 10am and 2pm to get the most accurate reading It looks like you did this one earlier than 10 which is probably why it is darker :)

Hope this helps.

jellyfish2 · 28/03/2024 10:33

These are the the ones I use and have always been accurate. Both are still negative as the test line has to be as dark as the control line or darker. I'd start testing twice a day to make sure you don't miss it and keep an eye out for ewcm aswell. I dtd when mine were getting like this. Do you use an app to read them? That helped me, I used premom. I'll attach a picture of mine from when I successfully got pregnant (ended in a MMC sadly.)

Thank you for the reply 🙏🏼 Yes that makes sense, I'll keep at it and see what happens, to be fair I've had the niggly pains and more CM the last couple days, so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm either in the middle of it or leading up to it 🙏🏼 We've DTD the last couple of days so I'm hoping if that was the case we've covered it, just seems early for me 🤔 Guess I'm panicking I missed my surge on a LH strip in the night 🤯

Just did another test and it's the same, very light again 🤔

This was mine from last year. The strips I used last month are much darker for some reason.

Hey @jellyfish2 Thanks for the reply 🙏🏼 I think I remember you from a couple of others posts, I'm so sorry about your MMC, life sucks doesn't it 😔 Hoping we can get our rainbow babies soon 🌈

Oooh ok this makes sense, I'll keep testing, bulk brought these off Amazon and wanted to give them a go, just need to get into the swing of them! I'll look at that app also 👀 Thank you 🙏🏼

@SunshineAndRainbows6 I hope we do both get our rainbows soon 🌈 I'm taking a break from TTC next month after a suspected chemical so I think my body maybe needs a bit of time.

The app is good but try to keep the lighting consistent so that it's more accurate.

Mrsttcno1 · 28/03/2024 11:10

Hi OP, I also used these tests, now 9 months pregnant and waiting to pop! Neither of the tests in your photos are positive as the test line has to be darker than the control line for it to be a positive test.

I’d recommend using an app to read them like Premom app, I used this and it’s totally free (or at least I only used the free version and never had any issues). My advice would be make sure when you photograph the tests for the app to read, do it in the same place with the same background & lighting every time, I used to do mine balance on the back of my chopping board on the kitchen bench, so that the app reads the result accurately rather than different lighting causing it to look different.

Good luck🌈x

@SunshineAndRainbows6 I didn't notice your other message. Just keep testing over the next couple of days, I'm sure you haven't missed it if it's too early. Plus worst case scenario you've been dtd anyway!

Hey 👋🏼 @Mrsttcno1 Congratulations! How exciting, ready to pop any day then 😍👏🏻 Keep us posted 🥰 Thank you for the advice, I deffo need to stick to the same spot each time, didn't even take that into account, I've uploaded the app and will give it a go... will keep testing and see what happens 🤞🏻🌈

@jellyfish2 I am so sorry 😞 that's so unfair, bless you! I'm positive we will get our rainbows 🌈 just hate the journey getting there, it's so rubbish! 🙏🏼🌈

Hello! So sorry to hear about your losses, I thought I was having the start of an LH surge on cycle day 10 too. I kept testing then it went low and I actually surged on cycle day 16, so keep testing!

For a test to be positive the test line must be darker than the control line, so this is still a negative test x

Hi so sorry about your losses 🥺 I’ve just started using the Easy Home ones this month too and also wondering why they were so dark - was testing first thing in morning so shall have to try later in morning/early afternoon too! Was starting to get worried as they just looked so dark (but not as dark as other line) and v similar every day!! Terrified of missing it - let’s hope peak is soon 🌈

I've just started using these too with the Premom app but just getting constant negatives. Hoping for a change soon unless I just don't ovulate this month 🤷🏼‍♀️

The wait and worry of missing/not having it is the worst! Thought about trying the Clear Blue ones too to compare but the price of them is just wild 😬

Morning ladies 👋🏼 Tell me about it, this whole TTC journey can be super stressful and these LH strips take some getting used to 🤭😂 I think I have finally got my PEAK on CD14, the app has confirmed it too 🙏🏼 So keep testing! As someone mentioned below try to test between 10 am and 8pm... not FMU, I was making that mistake and not holding my wee long enough, but this test was with my SMU and came up like this.... Good luck ladies 🍀🌈
