I am now day 20 of my cycle and still have not ovulated.

I usually get my peak OPK day 12/13 and regular with that, so this is not normal for me.

Had no signs ovulation is close either so wondering if I may not ovulate this cycle.
Only things I've done differently this cycle is take coq10 and Folic acid.

I've read across some other posts links to coq10 causing late ovulation and Folic acid causing delayed periods.

Just wanted some fresh experiences with these supplements?

I don't know about the coq 10 but never heard of folic acid delaying anything. Its probably the main supplement all women use so I'd imagine there would be greater complaints there

I've never heard of folic acid causing changes, and that's the main one women will take pre-conception. I took Pregnacare and it really messed my cycles.

@cherrytomato1 hey I wrote a post other day about some vitamins I have been taking they have in folic acid in and previously I’ve taken folic acid in seven seas and also on its own every time I take it I find ovulation and cycle messes up!! I use opk and always ovulate 11-14 days I stopped testing around cd18 as I still hadn’t had a positive opk and stopped now this month so I’m not sure if I have ovulated this month. So to your answer yes I do find it messes my cycle and ovulation

I'm now CD 25, still no OPK but it looks like my period may be slowly starting as I've been getting spotting!

There's a TTC group on Facebook I'm on and I've seen a lot of women have messed up cycles when taking various supplements.

This is the first time I've ever had a cycle where I haven't ovulated (been testing 1.5 years) so really not ideal when TTC.
I've decided to come off all supplements and really focus on a healthy nutritious diet.

Yes I tried Pregnacare last year and it messed up my cycle also.
Had numerous side effects also.

It states on the side of the packet it can alter cycles.

Personally I wasn't a fan of it and so haven't touched it again.

I wouldn't stop taking the folic acid as it's really not recommended to TTC without it. It really should be taken for 3 months before even trying (I didn't start until a few days after TTC for the first time but then found out I should have and was a bit concerned about getting pregnant for the first 3 months.)

I take Coq10 and my cycles have got longer since I started trying but also I'm in my 40s so I don't know if it's the various supplements or just an age thing. But I need all the help with egg quality I can get!

I'd say ditch the Coq10 if you want but stick with the folic acid and talk to your doctor if you're concerned about your cycles. NHS and all other medical bodies say it's essential.
