Hello,
Just looking for some similar experiences. I didn’t have a period for 21 months while BF my DD. Weaned in order to TTC again and had a period exactly 2 weeks later. I had one slightly longer cycle after that with a late ovulation on day 21 and had another period but I’m now on day 38 of the next cycle. Not sure if I ovulated this cycle as I stopped doing OPK around day 21. I usually temp but I just stopped this month after day 21 but last few days I’ve been checking and my temps are high so I think I could have ovulated very late. Definitely not pregnant.
I just wanted to know if anyone has experience of irregular cycles after not having a period for so long? Just looking for some reassurance that it is normal! I’m nearly 37 and starting to feel anxiety creeping in about being able to conceive number 2.
thanks :)

Kind of similar - BF until June 23, period came back Jan 23… was regular whilst BFing! As soon as I gave up BFing seemed to change. Some short cycles 23/24 days , some long 35 days! Erm I think they’ve settled a bit now but had a chemical in Jan 24 and then the next month was very short again! This month 27 days! I went to the docs as also TTC #2 and am 38, had internal scan which showed a egg waiting and thyroid was normal. I’m trying to stay positive too that will conceive! I was seen by the doctor quickly - I queried why cycles were odd, maybe try to see doc if not settled soon? I’m finding the unpredictably about when to DTD annoying. Good luck to you x

In a similar situation here, still feeding DD but had a period at the start of March. Currently CD23 and spotting, very sure I’m getting another! No positive OPKs this month either.

Thanks for replying @Lalaland13 . It’s so frustrating isn’t it when you don’t have a clue what’s going on with your cycles! Yes I think I’ll give it another few weeks and if no sign of period I’ll make an appointment. Good luck to you too!
@moosloverlover hope yours gets back on track soon too. I had to completely wean to get my periods back as there was no sign of them at all. Exactly 2 weeks later I had a positive opk followed by a period a couple of weeks later. Thought I was back on track but clearly not yet! 😬
