Hi all
My GP surgery called me today to make an appointment to see how I'm "getting on with the obstetric stuff"....yeah...they called me...and there was a cancellation tomorrow to see the GP in person...so far so strange right?
So I'm hoping that good things come in threes and the GP might actually do something that will magically enable me to conceive haha.
Does anyone know if the actual GP can prescribe any of the drugs, you know clomiphene, progesterone....that sorta stuff??
Here's the long story.
I've had an ovarian cyst for about 6 years through at least one pregnancy.
Been ttc #3 (yeah I'm being greedy with the babies but 3 was "the plan") since Jan last year.
Reckon I've had irregular periods, spotting for days before period etc for about a year before that but wasn't really tracking before that.
Spoke to the GP in April "keep trying"
Saw the Gynaecologist re ovarian cyst in August she wasn't concerned about conception chances but it's to come out in the next few years
Finally had day 3 and 21 (and 25) bloods in November which were normal but sure I had a chemical that month.
Went to private Gynaecologist in Jan who is willing to try clomifene after I have an expensive ultra sound to check on the cyst so I've held off.
White all this was happening I happened to get a kidney stone in July and when I was in the hospital I got a CT scan which showed cysts on my lungs, saw respiratory consultant and have been diagnosed with a mad rare condition (likely had it about 20 years) so he referred me to the Obstetrics for "counselling" about pregnancy so I asked for the appointments to be on the phone because I really didn't want to spend three hours going to the maternity unit for a chat about something she has never dealt with. She didn't call and didn't leave a VM - twice!
Next thing I got a letter from respiratory saying I hadn't attended the OB clinic 🙄 so I guess that's what the GP wants to talk about!
Just hoping to take a chance while I'm there!
