Is cervical position an indicator of anything?

I am 9DPO and just noticed my cervix is hard and low. Does that definitely mean I am out? I promised myself I wouldn't check BBT this month but that seems to have just shifted me on to cervical checking, which I should also stay away from 🙈

Personally I wouldn't bother checking cervix. I was convinced one month I was pregnant because my cervix was high and soft. I think sometimes it doesn't change till weeks down the line with pregnancy and 9dpo would be far to early for there to be any change so don't count yourself out. My advice would be not to bother checking cervix as doesn't give you a lot of information and may give you false hope

I'm 25 weeks pregnant currently. My cervix remained lowish until around 18 weeks! I think it can sometimes be an indicator of when you're fertile/ovulating but I don't think it means anything after that unfortunately (or fortunately if it's worrying you). I had IVF so had to use progesterone pessaries so very aware of my daily cervix position and it was quite consistently low throughout!

Thanks @Elisabeth3468 and @MyEggsArePrecious.

I think I just need to not check as it seems to vary. I'm first cycle post miscarriage so hyper aware of everything... Not expecting to fall again fast, but also secretly desperately hoping!

@MyEggsArePrecious best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy :)

I'm sorry about your miscarriage @Orlahoping
I think it's natural to just desperately want to know asap and have that certainty so we do these things with BBT and cervix checking and keeping an eye on the lovely mucus changes. Completely understandable but questionable if it's helpful or not..you've got to do what's best and easiest for you to get through things sometimes.

Fingers tightly crossed for you x

@MyEggsArePrecious yeah I don't think it's helpful. I'm old and it wasn't fast the first time round so I think I just need to focus on being as healthy and relaxed as possible...
