Hi ladies… my last period started on 17th Feb and on Monday this week I got my first ever BFP after almost 2 years ttc! I’m so happy but so anxious…. And I’m panicking that today’s tests haven’t got any darker (bottom two). Could any of you experts please cast your eyes on the pic and let me know if I should be worried?
thank you so much.

These look very positive to me so buy a clear blue digital one to put your mind at ease. Congrats xxx how many days post ovulation are you? X

@Xxfifixx89 Thank you for taking a look! I’m not sure about ovulation.. I usually have a +opk on CD12 but didn’t track last month and only DTD on CD8 and CD14! After my bfp on Monday I’ve become so anxious that I’m scared to buy a digital how many weeks and be disappointed ☹️ xx

Tests are to show yes or no. It's only on MN that people seem to think they indicate if a pregnancy is progressing. Yours are fine, please stop testing.

@Rosesanddaisies1 Thank you… I thought the lines getting stronger indicated a rise in HcG so I was a little concerned when todays seemed lighter xx

The tests look great, congratulations! Please don’t get too caught up on the darkness of the tests. I had incredibly faint tests with my baby boy. My midwife reminded me that a positive test is a positive test no matter how faint or dark the line is.

@TK220440 you can't compare once the tests have dried, for line progression you need to take a picture at the time it says to read it and compare them. However yours have been close to dye stealers since Wednesday and once the line gets that dark you really can't do progression, the hcg already looks really high and things affect the line intensity eg the concentration of urine and the actual test lot. You have done two today, my line looked lighter in one day but it was the day I had a blood test done and the hcg level was good. I arranged a private test with ultrasound direct at 6.5 weeks to check if the pregnancy was viable.

So true. I never realised that people did this until I joined mn. I'm glad I wasn't on here when I was pregnant, I think I would have made myself ill with worry truthfully.

Thank you so much @Gardenlady543 @Hiddenvoice for your reassurance.. I’ve been sick with worry all day.. it’s been such a magical week to then become so anxious 😟 Isn’t it crazy how years ago women would just take the one test to confirm pregnant and here we are on MN taking numerous tests a day!

I've never understood the line progression thing either, a positive is a positive. There's no reason to retest.

TK220440 · 21/03/2024 19:04

I’ve just done this test. I’m hoping this will put my mind at rest and I’m not planning on testing again!
