diege get your shoes on you have some walking to do.....

NJ I hope he will listen, at the same time I know he will be down as well so I wont be to hard... I thought I might say:

It will be another 9 months yet until baby would be born and in that time either you will have found another job or I would have gone back to work full time so either way financially we will be settled by then. I don?t want to leave it much longer or I will be 36 by the time any lo was born and then the risks are a lot higher and my fertility will be lower.

What do you think!!

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:19

Yep deffo good speech. I do wonder though if it would be better to leave it tonight, don't say anything (if you can help it) he is going to be upside down in his head, give him at least until tomorrow, and then try?

Having said that you know him better than me (I hope!!!! ) I just know my DH wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to talk about it, if it was him IYKWIM?

If he brings it up though, go for it!

Diege · 04/04/2008 17:20

you know it did cross my mind as I posted that Nat someone might think about outbidding me

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:20

Make tonight about showing him you can go full time, and giving him good hope of getting another job very quickly, do you know what I mean? Sort of cushion the way a little LOL

lardylumps · 04/04/2008 17:20

your right nj I will leave it until tomorrow if he doesn't bring it up.

Diege is taking ages getting back from the chemist isn't she......

lardylumps · 04/04/2008 17:25

I might get a bottle of wine tonight.... Is that ok if I do carry on TTC. (to share wiht dp not to have the whole thing to myself)

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:25

As if I would Diege, have you been to the chemist?

I think he'd appreciate the room in his head LL. Might give you a better chance of getting the answer that you want. It will be hard though I know!

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:26

You will be fine drinking now, I personally think up until you know you are pregnant I think you have to carry on as normal, else some people would spend years not 'living' IYKWIM?

lardylumps · 04/04/2008 17:28

You are a fountain of wisdom..........

If diege doesn't get back soon I am going send a search party... How far is the bloody chemist anyway?

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:31

LOL I like the complete ignorance approach

C'mon Diege, I am supposed to be doing tea, but I'm not moving till you've tsted, you are starving my kids!!

Diege · 04/04/2008 17:37

You lot! Hopefully I'll not have to go anywhere near the shops as I'll win my tests off e-bay, and/or af will start anyway!
Good advice from Nat LL about maybe holding off and testing the water? (got wee-testing on the brain!)Unless of course he mentions it, and then go for the kill with the full force of mumsnet behind you

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:39

Diege stop putting it off, my kids are hungry, DH will come home and moan I haven't done tea, he might lock me in the cupboard again, with the rats, and spiders..... please go and get a test....

OK I was erm... getting carried away, but seriously, test!

Diege · 04/04/2008 17:39

Have just been sniggering to myself at the thought of me rushing into the local Lloyds with my 3 and grabbing first response test...the old bitch love behind the counter is of the 'you'll have your hands full', 'are you done now', 'hoping for a boy?' variety

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:40

Leave kids in car.

No more excuses, get a test!

NatalieJane · 04/04/2008 17:41

Or answer with "It's not for me", with a look in DD1's direction, should shut the old love up

Diege · 04/04/2008 17:42

No car, am a foot soldier like you

Diege · 04/04/2008 17:42
