Woooooooo hooooooooo well done Kayz!!!! Great news.

There is a lovely baby GAP on Regent Street - not to mention Topshop maternity range - go mad girl!!

Technical question.... How long had you been off contraception before you started trying? Can't remember is you were on pill or not. Just wondering how soon ovulation kicked back in for you?

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 20:39

I was on the pill and I came of two cycles ago. This would have been my second 'proper' period.

I'll go look at baby GAP.

Cosmogirl · 03/04/2008 20:41

Hi all, sorry about absence. Been a bit of a rollercoaster at my end - but not nearly as much as it has been for LG&T. I guess you probably won't be reading here for a bit, but if you are, know that my thoughts are with you.

From one end of the scale to another....KAY - HOW EXCITING??!!! I can't say how pleased I am for you, but believe me its very.

NJ, hope you're feeling OK, all seems a bit odd but you need to push harder for an appt. Tell them you need an appt and if they say they've gone, ask her what she is going to do about it. TBH, I'm sure they're not allowed to keep refusing you like they are.

DS hasn't got CP, we think he's had hand, foot and mouth, but I haven't had an opportunity to read about it yet so will be doing that next. I took him to the GP on Weds am and he confirmed it def. wasn't CP so I phoned nursery to tell them but mention that he had spots in his mouth (which the doc couldn't explain) and manager immediately said, oh that'll be H, F & M, we've had a couple of cases. Apparently they don't ask the kids to stay away because by the time they exhibit clear symptoms, its too late.

So, dropped DS at nursery, legged it home and packed a bag and drove to Reading. I had already missed one meeting but was able to attend the most important one today. Rang DH this am to see how DS had been overnight, apparently he woke up at 1am so DH took him into bed with us, but instead of settling which he normally does, he kept getting up and walking around on the bed and trying to turn the light on!! poor DH - I know its not funny really but you've got to laugh!!!

Right, going to go and read about hand, foot and mouth....love to you all, hope to catch up again soon.

(Oh - and as I'm on 2ww, I am, naturally, symptom spotting like crazy! I've had loads of tummy cramps today, like I'm due on, but its too early for that, I think and have been having headaches which isn't like me.)

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 21:26

Thanks Cal.

Glad its not CP but I dont know if H,F and M is worse.

I hope ds feels better soon.

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 21:26

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 21:26

Ooops.

calsworld · 03/04/2008 21:30

I love google, just read and it sounds exactly like what DS had! Nice to be in the know.

I was sure it wasn't CP! Even though a nursery staff thought it was, a pharmacist said it was, then a nurse at an NHS drop in centre confirmed it too.

Just goes to show, that some times, even a non medically qualified mum can know best .

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 21:31

Mums always know best Cal always!!

calsworld · 03/04/2008 21:36

Hi Kay - thought I was on my own here. HF&M is much, much better than CP. This article on hand, foot and mouth explained it all really well - and why they thought it was CP as apparently the spots resemble mini CP.

DS is fine today, been very chirpy and managing nearly full days in toddler units. He came up home looking very cute in a completely strange outfit - he was playing with water today and soaked two outfits!!

Last night was only my third night away from DS, I've had one other work trip away and one night when I was in hospital with tonsillitis.
Is it possible for him to have changed in looks overnight coz he looks older to me . I love my little boy so much.

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 21:43

I was wondering that about ds for when we go to London. Is he going to look different when we get home?

I am off to bed now as dh is up at half 3 for work and I know I'll get woken up too.

Night Night.
