Hello everyone,

We've been back to Whitby today to get mates present. Gorgeous sunshine in Whitby and we get back to Pickering and its chucking it down!!

Only 5 days until T-Day and the anxiousness is creeping in now. I'm not testin until Friday though. I'm being good.

NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 16:08

Ewwww BB, they wee out it, don't do it!!!

I've still not tested, think someone must have done something to my brain, by now I would have normally been doing a test at least once a day.....

Still, more for next week (if my period doesn't play nice and come and get it over with....!)

BeMyLilBaby · 29/03/2008 16:46

lardylumps · 29/03/2008 16:52

Ladies I need some advise.

Last sat we took dd to doctors on call at A&E and she had a bad chest infection. Antibiotic's (sp) are all finished now and I took her to gp Friday just to make sure and she said her chest is clear now.

Dd has been miserable all day with a high temp (between 37 and 38.5) but calpol is bringing it down. She has just had her dinner and I turned my back for a second and she started screaming. Gone to her and she is covered from head to toe in sick. And it hurt her coming up as she was screaming for a long time afterwards.

What should I do, should I ride it out and see how she is tomorrow? I am just paranoid as I had put her chest infection down to teething for two weeks before we had to rush her to A&E because she couldn't breathe and I don?t want to ignore anything else!!

BeMyLilBaby · 29/03/2008 16:55

i would go to GP with LO or a&E again tis better safe than sorry, or call nhs direct they give gd ish advice and will msort doc for you x

kayzisbroody · 29/03/2008 16:58

I'd ring NHS direct and see what they say.

I am with BB, I dont mind bj's. Its only fair I say.

NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 16:58

TBH LL, I think is one of those 'instinct' things, the temp of 37 is pretty normal, the higher 38.5 is only really bordering on a 'high temp.' and if calpol is controlling it, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

What has she eaten today? Is she still drinking? The screaming might not have been pain, more worry, it is scary when you're sick, and I don't know anyone who enjoys it!

Though I have kind of played all this down a bit, like I said these things are about instinct, and I can't see her obviously, (and am no doctor either, only know about the temp. stuff because DS2 get's febrile convulsions).

I would say as long as she still takes fluids, I'd leave her for now, unless obviously anything drastic happens.

Poor little thing, she's not had a good run of it recently, has she? - Or you! Hope it is just a 24 hour thing

lardylumps · 29/03/2008 17:03

She is having a lousy time bless her I feel so helpless. I am going to leave her now and see how she is for a while. She is still drinking water and there is no messy nappies (well no more than normal teething ones anyway).

She is in the bath now with her daddy and she has stopped crying. So will see how she goes over the next couple of hours

She had pasta with tomato and goats cheese sauce. Then yoghurt and blueberries.

NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 17:08

Has she had all of that before?

I think you will know if it get's much worse, just keep an eye out, and make sure she keeps up the fluids.

(FWIW, DS2 is always sick after blueberries, though I think it is because of the way he shoves them in and swallows them with out chewing!

kayzisbroody · 29/03/2008 17:10

Ds had something similar a few months ago and its horrible as there isnt anything you can do except make sure they have plenty of water and medicine.

The gp told us to hold of the dairy stuff like milk, yoghurt, cheese etc as it can make them worse.

lardylumps · 29/03/2008 17:21

Ok no milk tonight then, she has had all the food before but maybe it was a bit much when she isn't feeling to well.

Her temp is normally 35.7 i thought that was normal!

DP is letting her have a sleep now and we will see how she is later.

BeMyLilBaby · 29/03/2008 17:35

right im off, speak to you all tmo teatime as im going to have to be productive tomo!! x

lardylumps · 29/03/2008 17:48

she has just zonked out in my arms. So going to let her sleep now.

Night bb speak monday..

lardylumps · 29/03/2008 18:04

Right i am off now too. will see you all monday. Have a lovely weekend.

NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 18:22

Too late, but normal temp range is between 35.(something can't remember) and 37.6 (always remember the top range because I have to keep an eye on DS2's else he will fit.

Hope she feels better later/tomorrow

Still not tested..... I know, I know, I am getting borring now....

kayzisbroody · 29/03/2008 18:33

You aren't boring Nat, I am not going to test until Friday as I was so bad last time I cant get all those bfn's again so I'll do 1 test on Friday and no more.

MoosMa · 29/03/2008 20:12

Oh what a nightmare day! DD2 bumped her mouth this morning - not sure how but she managed to scrape something up the front of her top gum cutting it twice beside her teeth and severing the stringy bit that joins her lip to her gum. She cried on and off all afternoon so I rang NHS direct who said I ought to take her to hospital as that bit is very important for speech.

DH had taken the wrong phone (the one that doesn't work) to work so I couldn't get hold of him and my parents were 30 miles away. I had to wait ages for them to get home, swap cars with DH and bring me the car. I left DD1 with them (having got tea ready in record time!) and dashed into town. We waited for half an hour for triage only to be told "oh that's alright it'll heal by itself, go away!".

Harrumph.

They're noth asleep now though so I'm going to go and eat a bowl of cocopops and watch ER

MoosMa · 29/03/2008 20:13

both, not noth

kayzisbroody · 29/03/2008 21:15

What a day MM, I'm glad it's not serious.

Just watching Most Haunted Live, and they're in some tunnels and they wont have contact to the studio so Yvette said "We'll have to dip in and dip out all night" and I just cracked up and thought of Diege. Dh just didn't understand at all.

sorkycake · 29/03/2008 21:41

Aw Moosma, how worrying, hope you get an easy night.

Enjoy the cocopops

whose winning on scrabble btw? it's me isn't it?

kayzisbroody · 30/03/2008 09:13

Morning all,

My stupid phone doesnt change the time despite the instructions saying it does. So I woke up at 7 moaning about waking up early and it was really 8. So not too bad after all.

Hope everyone had good days and that Moosma and LL's DDs are ok today.

kayzisbroody · 30/03/2008 09:16

Oh and my boobs feel really heavy today(sorry if TMI)

Dh says I've slept funny. Thats his answer for everything, my leg hurts "you've slept funny" I have a headache "you've slept funny"
