Thought it was a myth getting an early 9dpo… BFP after MMC

This is more a post of hope for those that have been through a MMC and surgery. It will happen for you. Attached is a picture of my tests taken exactly 9DPO and the consecutive two days. I really thought it would never happen as I’ve had weird ovulation bleeding since surgery but here we are. Only thing I’ve done different this month is stopped eating meat this month (just a new lifestyle choice) and noticed no ovulation bleeding for the first time. Was really started to feel like giving up with it all. Hope this post helps anyone who’s been through the same and is feeling like it won’t happen because it will xx

congratullations!!! You must be so happy. I lost a baby at 14 weeks. My gp gave me lots of emotional support and told me to let my body rest before trying again. We weren’t planning on trying so soon as we were grieving but lo and behold we got pregnant straight away. Hope this pregnancy gives you a little miracle.

@Frightenedbunny Awww that’s amazing!! Thank you!! Are you pregnant now then? Just worried this time which is natural I guess xx

@Rio93 can I ask what your ovulation bleeding was like and how long it lasted?

Rio93 · 16/03/2024 11:51

@MerryBrickHelper hiya. I never really got to the bottom of it. It would happen right after I ovulated for 3 days and was more than spotting. I think in hindsight it was my hormones getting back to normal and probably my lining from surgery was still adjusting as I had the surgery in November x

Congratulations!!🥰 Did you fall pregnant before your period? I had surgery 5 weeks ago for my MMC and ovulated last week so we've just gone for it. I won't be testing until next week but I'm a bit nervous at the thought of it being positive, questioning if it's too soon physically.

Rio93 · 16/03/2024 13:26

@jellyfish2 hey. Thank you! No I had my surgery in November. We did try straight away after the surgery but don’t think my body was ready thinking back now - had a really heavy painful period after and then they seemed back to normal after that (except ovulation bleeding). Think generally the advice is you’re good to go when you feel ready. Doesn’t change your odds as far as I know. Good luck xxx

No! I’m now the proud owner of 4 children. Another 2 followed after my rainbow baby. It’s a hard and lonely place to be losing a baby. Good luck. Keep us posted xx

MerryBrickHelper · 16/03/2024 14:51

@Rio93 did you have ovulation bleeding every month since the MC in Nov?

I had an MVA 16th Feb, hardly any bleeding and recovered well. Negative HCG after 3 weeks. Tested ovulation and had O but did have a lot of ECM. DH and I DTD as we hadn’t for so long and bleeding started Monday eve- but it’s more than spotting…but doesn’t feel like my period? EPU said it was my period returning! So I’m just confused.

However your post has given me hope so thank you for sharing! X

Rio93 · 16/03/2024 15:55

@MerryBrickHelper yes I did. It was exactly the same day each month too for 3days. It was brown blood too which was something I hadn’t encountered since the MMC. Sorry to hear about this, it’s so traumatic. It could be your period, it’s around the right time if you’ve tested negative too? My period came 25 days after surgery and then was bang on 27 days every month after. The time since I’ve had my surgery has been confusing, I think it’s silly they don’t see you for a follow up because I was searching on here desperately for answers but your body sounds like it is on the mend xx
