BFP after a chemical pregnancy

Anyone else had a positive after an early MC/CP and struggled to just let themselves enjoy it?
My CP I tested positive at CD31 AND was still testing to watch line progression when the lines started fading at 5 and half weeks and then AF arrived a few days later.
This time I tested positive on CD23 so a lot earlier and I'm already feeling symptoms so it definitely feels different but a week later and I still stress every morning and keep testing feeling like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Was there anything that helped you settle and stop stressing?

Hi lovely @SanityChecks Spoke on another post after my CP.

So happy for you and your BFP. Completely get the anxiety after a loss though. Be kind to yourself.

can you book an early scan at all? Either with EPU or private?

i know some people just stick to the digital CB ones once a week to make sure the weeks go up correctly.

but you must find something that works for you. Don’t be hard on yourself though. What you’re feeling is completely validated x

Yes, it's totally normal to feel like that. Feel what you need to feel but also if you can try to remember each is different and the fact you're feeling different is positive

Thanks @ToeBeans24 and @mumofone1111
Other than my husband I've not told anyone I'm pregnant yet so it's nice just to feel listened to.
@ToeBeans24 I've booked in for a private scan at 6 weeks so I'm hoping that puts my mind at rest a little. Just hit day 31 which was the point when I tested positive first time around. I can definitely feel a difference between now and then but don't think I will settle until I've got past the 5 and half weeks now. Another week to go!

Hello!
I am also pregnant the month after experiencing a chemical, I’m now 11 weeks. In the earlier days I tested none stop, stuck them to bits of paper to watch the progression… I totally get it. I would recommend you have a scan a bit later than 6 weeks, there is a chance you will not see any features within the sac, which is totally normal but can cause a lot of unnecessary stress! Fetal heartbeat can be seen mostly from 6 weeks, that’s if you are exact on ovulation and implantation (implantation can vary by days) Most private early scanning places will also advise this… By 8 weeks you would see a very clear baby and heartbeat! But understand the stress that comes with waiting also… x

Hey, this was me. CP in December and then BFP in January. Was convinced it was false positive/wouldn't last etc. feeling horrendous sickness & exhaustion constantly that hasn't gone away weirdly reassured me that I was still pregnant. I don't have loads of tips on the anxiety but my DH and I agreed that to save my sanity we would try to "ignore" it as much as possible & not talk about it loads and think of it more as a "we'll see" at 12w. Didn't totally work but defo helped that we didn't tell people, just kind of kept in the back of our mind type of thing.

I've now had 12 week scan & told baby is perfect. It's really put me at ease hearing heartbeat & seeing them do all the measurements, blood tests etc.
wishing you all the best on your journey!
