Hi everyone,

Just looking for any similar experiences…

Last period was 10th Feb.. used the CB ovulation kit and got a static smiley super early for me -as in 2 days after my period finished…
Started getting faint faint positives on the early strip tests both on the blue ones from Amazon and the pink wondfo ones on Wednesday this week
I’ve tested yesterday and today and on those tests there’s still a faint positive but on CB digital, Superdrug and other cheapy ones it’s stark negative- on boots early detection there’s a faint line.
The fact that these lines haven’t gotten any darker is not filling me with hope also the negative on the digitals (used the 6day early ones).
Period is due today but hasn’t shown up yet.

My questions are… if you’ve had a chemical before how long before there were no faint lines on your tests?
And the other is has anyone experienced something similar to this?

Emotionally drained,
thank you for reading x x

@Bluebella27 i had a chemical in feb I got my first positive (very faint) at 10dpo then 12dpo slightly darker but still faint, got a digital 13dpo both positive. 14dpo decided to test for weeks got 1-2 weeks. 15 dpo tested again both strips (no lines at all) and the weeks (got 2 in a packet) came up not pregnant and began to bleed within the hour. Mine seemed to happen so quickly . I never tested again as I got the not pregnant.
how many dpo are you could possibly be down to test sensitivity ?

Thanks so much for replying.. Sorry you went through that, it's such a gut wrenching experience when you see the line for it not to come to anything.

So i must have ovulated any time between 18 and 21st .. did a test last week and was completely negative these faint lines appeared from Wednesday this week but as I said they've not got darker and they don't appear on all brands... I'm just don't understand... with my previous pregnancies I must have gotten positives from 11DPO x

I tested positive for 14 days in January before my period arrived around 10 days late.

ToeBeans24 · 08/03/2024 21:50

I tested positive day period was due so 14DPO for me. It was faint but much darker by 17DPO. Then experienced spotting about 4 days after that followed by negative then bleeding. Sorry if this is what’s happening to you. It’s rough. Be kind to yourself x

I think I got faint lines from around 11dpo that never progressed and then started bleeding about a week later

Bluebella27 · 09/03/2024 09:41

Thank you for replying. So sorry you all went through that...

I've just no idea... I've had the same faint line since Wednesday...2 weeks after I got the static smile on OPK so way later than I would've expected

Period due yesterday....

Still got the faint line on the wondfo tests and a bit crampy very nauseous so very unfairly feels like early pregnancy but I just don't see how it can progress...so sad 😔 xx

@KittyFantastica can I ask- did you test positive on a digital test? 14 days is so long, sorry you went through that xx

Hi @Bluebella27 so sorry you're having to deal with this uncertainty, it's such a tough time to get through not knowing what will happen.

I did get a positive digital test. My first few tests got a bit darker, but after that they stalled and then gradually for lighter. It was a sad time, but at least I knew what was happening after a while and could prepare myself.

Please do update us with how it goes for you. Keep well x

Bluebella27 · 10/03/2024 19:05

@KittyFantastica
Thanks so much for replying.. it’s exactly that- complete uncertainty.. I’m now 2 days late, cramping intermittently which I suppose could be like early pregnancy but maybe more like period pains now.
I’m just very rarely ever late.
I tested about an hour ago on a wondfo test and there’s still a faint positive within 5 minutes.. it’s just not gotten any lighter since Wednesday when they first started showing. I feel pregnant, the tight stomach and the sort of in the background nausea… but it’s so hard to believe it will progress I’ve only ever been positive or negative in the past not these non progressing faint lines.
I suppose I’m worried that it might be an ectopic aswell but I don’t really know what to expect for that…
Utterly drained by this 🫠 xx

Sending you lots of positive wishes, I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I think I’m in the middle of a chemical pregnancy too. Very faint test the day before my period was due (Tuesday) then remaining faint until yesterday when they seemed to get a bit stronger. But I’m currently seeing a specialist after 2 miscarriages last year and he sent me for blood tests on Wednesday then told me in my appointment on Friday that my hCG levels were far too low. The stronger home tests over the weekend have really thrown me because he was very clear not to hold out hope. Got another blood test tomorrow to confirm whether they are rising or not.

I’m trying to prepare myself for bad news but can’t stop hoping.

@Bluebella27 I had a chemical in jan. Was faint pos for 4 days after period due and then AF came. Very much head f**k and terrible anxiety. I knew there was something wrong but still had hope 😭hope yours is different outcome x

Bluebella27 · 11/03/2024 21:03

@Hollycharlie
It's horrible- sorry you went through that... I think I'm heading for the same outcome... the lines are definitely fainter bordering on non existent now I don't have the nausea anymore and am cramping like I'm due on... period is now 3 days late but can't see how it won't come now.
just horrible xx

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to comment with the outcome for anyone in the future who comes across this thread.
My period came 3 days late by which the positive lines had faded completely on all my test.
My period was slightly more crampy and there was some tiny clots.. nothing drastic all in all was a pretty normal period.
Very emotionally draining but I think the not knowing and the scare of it being ectopic was worse.
Thanks to everyone who commented with their support and experiences x
