Positive Ovulation Test following Pregnancy Loss

Hi everyone,

Would it be common to ovulate 2 weeks after a miscarriage? I was 7 weeks pregnant and unfortunately started bleeding about 16 days ago and it was confirmed a miscarriage. The bleeding finally stopped a couple of days ago. I just did an ovulation test out of curiosity and there seems to be quite a dark line. Would I be ovulating already? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks!

Yes, you are extremely fertile afterwards. So Sorry for your loss x

Have you done a pregnancy test? This happened to me but I still had some HCG in my system so I think it was that as I didn't have any other signs of ovulation and I always notice ewcm. In the last few days I've had cramping which I don't normally have and thought maybe it was my period however I think my body is preparing for ovulation as I've noticed ewcm today. I had surgery for my MMC 4 weeks ago tomorrow and only got a negative test about 2 weeks after.

Complete a pregnancy test- if you have a line it means you still have hcg and will not ovulate until it’s gone. I’m in the same boat, tried for two years and finally caught this at Xmas but had missed miscarriage which resulted in MVA on 16th Feb. I’ve been in two minds to try but decided I’m going to be stressed enough waiting for my period to return, let alone adding a TWW.
