Anyone had this with a digital? Weeks mystery!

I have PCOS and been on metformin and myo for the last year. I ovulate fine but for the last 9 cycles I’ve ovulated on day 16 or 17. Due to it stressing me out, I stopped doing OPKs and just went with my ovulation being day 16 or 17 of a 32 day cycle. I got my BFP this month on 10dpo and then the day of my period I did a normal digital (not an ultra early) and got 2-3 weeks which I wasn’t expecting. I thought I’d get 1-2 weeks. Has anyone had this before and was it because you ovulated early or is it anything to do with PCOS? Thank you in advance! X

I had this with my first pregnancy, I was instantly 2-3 weeks, you most likely ovulated earlier this month.

Ah thank you! So where you later on in your pregnancy than you thought when you went for your scan?

2 -3 weeks is too early - it should be 4-5 weeks now. Conception happens at 2-3 weeks normally

Ah yes I know, the test says 1-2 weeks, 2-3 or 3+. The leaflet says to add 2 weeks on to what it says.

I feel your response was a bit blunt (and incorrect because clear blue have a way of you reading the tests) and may cause a panic for someone like me who has had trouble conceiving and early miscarriages.

Could be twins! Just a sign of good HCG levels OP, wouldn’t worry.

No I was bang on time when I went for my 12 week scan. I also went for a viability scan just to make sure I was pregnant as I didn’t believe the tests!
2-3 weeks seems pretty spot on for where you are in your cycle though!

Thank you, we have a viability scan booked so let’s see! It’s just all such a mystery isn’t these first few weeks?! 😝

14 dpo (ie the day you are due) is two weeks though, so 2-3 weeks is not incorrect. These things measure HCG levels, and normal levels (even for a single ton pregnancy) are a range which overlaps between 1-2 weeks and 2-3 weeks. Anyway, congrats OP, you are definitely pregnant!
