So I just got my day 21 progesterone back and the reading is 46 ng/mL last month was 36 ng/mL
Im 34 nearly 35 just wondering if these readings are good or bad? AF did come for me this month though so wasnt my month again
I know over 30 is considered ovulation but just wondering what could maybe make it rise by 10?

There is soo much conflicting info on what’s a ‘good’ vs ‘bad’ level, it’s really annoying.

From what I know both 36 and 46 are both really good and ‘normal’ results.

Is it possible that this month’s test was more accurately timed? Meaning you got the progesterone at its absolute peak? That would account for the higher reading. Fluctuations from one month to the next may be normal though, I’m not too sure. I find these tests so hard to time as a spotter.

Mine was at 21 this month which is on the lower side, but my Dr assured me it’s likely I ovulated (plus I have all the other stuff that goes along with ov).

I’ve seen some things online that say anything 30+ means you’ve ovulated. Others say anything 15+. And some say 5+!! Absolute minefield.

@purplecolouroffunk Thanks on the gp report says over 11 is good

This time i did 9 dpo as the clinic was too busy last one was 7 dpo

Just annoying when you know you are ovulating, all bloods and pelvic scans come back ok and hubby's sperm come back on but now going into our third month TTC for baby number 1.

I do have pco though, i was thinking at 46 maybe as was higher meant it was rising for a baby lol

I seem to get the pains around o time but did notice this month didnt really have egg white ECWM just wet

those are really good results!
I’ve had two day 21 tests, both correctly timed (temping). First one was 29, I was happy with that but GP said I hadn’t ovulated and needed to repeat. Next cycle it was 57 because I was pregnant. MMC aat 8 weeks but not related to progesterone.

@CurlyWurly1991 Thanks, I have been wondering if mine was 46 as maybe i could have been pregnant then had an early chemical i will never really know as i didnt test did you test before the progestion test or after to find out you were pregnant?

I suffered from a 7 week miscarriage in 2007 myself so im sorry for your loose

@UnicornPrincessSarah no on that cycle I didn’t test until 14dpo but was hopeful of pregnancy because of the day 21 result. Sorry you’ve had a loss too x
