Implantation or weirdly late period?

Not been on contraception for 18 months now, periods like clockwork 27 days (one time 26). I am essentially 3 days late on my period, do not feel like it's coming. Mild cramps every now and then, no other symptoms besides slightly nauseas every now and then (not uncommon for me) & not sure on ovulation. I should have came on on Sunday. Would a positive test show by now? Should I wait?

If your period is already late, what reason is there NOT to do a pregnancy test?

Don't really want to jump the gun/get my hopes up if this is fairly normal. I will be doing one in the morning to confirm if AF not here by then

If your cycles are regular, which it sounds like they are, then a late period is unusual so it's worth doing a test - if you are pregnant it's almost certain you'll get a positive result at 3+ days late. Good luck!

Yep - negative! Not sure why I am late. Have read they say to test again after you period has been late for a week. I will do this again on Monday if still so sign of it coming. Weird!!

@Brightbird97 That is odd if your cycle is usually very regular - our bodies can do strange things sometimes though! Hope you get some clarity either way in the next few days.

I have had brown spotting today, still no period, or anything that comes with it (hunger and anger days before, extreme cramps, back ache). I would question whether this is implantation bleeding, however, is it normal to have this come after you're due your period? I also thought this would come before you are due on!

My understanding is that implantation bleeding can sometimes come around the time AF is due, although I'm not speaking from personal experience on that.
