NC for this.
Been TTC for since Nov and just had another negative test and feel period starting. I appreciate three months is nothing really but I had an ectopic which resulted in a tube being removed in October last year and prior to that a MC in early 2023 at 7 weeks after seeing a HB at week 6. Another MMC at 13 weeks in 2020. Had one DS who is now 3 in 2021. I know we're so lucky and hope this doesn't come across as being insensitive.

So as not to drip feed, GP did bloods about a year ago as I had random mid cycle spotting and was terrified it was peri. She said results were all within normal, healthy range and peri wasn't a concern. I didn't actually see the results myself but she was clear they were ok. Have no other symptoms and bleeding was eventually put down to a cervical erosion.

Desperately TTC and feel defeated each time I get my period. What could I do that might help? Any supplements or other tips? I'm 36 and DH 48. Both fit, don't smoke and drink one or two alcoholic drinks each a month (when AF arrives!!) . Try to sleep and eat well and wonder what other, positive action we could take that might help? Even psychologically it would help knowing I was doing something positive! All advice welcome, feeling a bit down with it all and wonder if we're just out of luck.

Just something to consider- normal range isn’t the same as ‘optimal’. This might apply to you.

i would see if a fertility clinic will accept your nhs test results for a review

thyroid TSH for example should be between 1-2 for optimal fertility. Normal range goes up to 5. A GP will fob you off with ‘normal range’, but some women will struggle to get pregnant with any levels over 2.

@HandsomeGreige thanks so much for this! Will call GP tomorrow and ask. Hadn't even thought to question it before now. Just want to feel like I'm doing something!

Im 37, DH is 46, and m TTC #2. Been trying since May 23 with a MMC discovered at 8 weeks in January. Yeah, it sucks! I’m sorry you’ve had losses too. Taking a break this cycle (well, not tracking or temping…) it really takes its toll.
I have had various blood tests from the GP over the years. A while back I requested all my medical records, I filled in a form at the surgery and then got everything transferred on the nhs app. This means I can see all of the tests as they come in. It’s great to be able to see actual numbers and know how they compare to optimal ranges (eg those in ‘it starts with the egg’). Recommend doing that.
