Have you had a period but still been pregnant?

I think I got my period but it lasted 2 days and was quite light and my boobs continue to hurt and me to feel nauseous. I am sure nto implantation bleed - wrong colour, too long - and don't think a mc as had before and very different. Has anyone here had a period then turned out to be pg?

Yes. It's very common. Do a test.

my ex-boss was disappointed to have her period when she was ttc, she was sick as a dog and i was sure she was pg. When she missed the next mth she went for her appointment, had a scan cos they thought it might be twins and found she was 4 or 5 weeks further on than she thought, so she had been pg when she had that period.

Did a test Sat morning and it was neg though wasn't expecting period until mon. When it came I just though oh okay then but today still have all the pregnancy symptons. Will wait until tomorrow. Just wanted to check I wasn't going mad thinking it might be possible.

I had the same with DS3. I had a couple of 'periods' - quite light but enough to have to use a pad. I felt really sick, sore boobs etc. When I went to the doctor I found out I was about 10 weeks pregnant!! He was fine!

Yep, I did with DD. It was heavier than normal and more painful.

The doctor scared me when I went to see him (did test a couple of weeks later as, like you, was symtomatic) as he said they would class it as a bleed Don't know why it shocked me but it made me terrified of having a MC (I'd already had two).

That being said - DD is now almost two

sounds exactly like what happened to me - what i thought was period came on fri, finished on sunday afternoon which was v early for my cycle. no other pg symptoms at all but happened to be in wilko's buying a broom on weds and thought i'd better test - four BFP's later i had to accept i am pg! baby due in 5 wks. was told at dating scan i was 6 wks, so it was prob implantation bleed, but i didn't notice anything unusual other than duration or 'period'. are implantation bleeds usually different?
