No proper period since coming off pill

I came off microgynon last July so we could start trying for a baby. Since then every month I’ve had brown spotting for at least 5 days before my period was due (this month it happened 10 days before!) and then when my period comes it lasts for 1-2 days. With it being 7 months since I stopped taking the pill I really thought my periods would have gone back to normal now and so I’m worried somethings wrong - has anyone experienced anything similar/know what the issue could be or what I should be doing? I’m also not ovulating at all which is getting me down and im worried I never will and wont be able to have a baby. Thank you xx

My periods took about 10 months to settle when I came off the pill. Then they were pretty regular for a while - lighter than they used to be but regular. Then went a bit irregular for 2 months - but that’s when I fell pg so I had no idea 😂As also had no real symptoms. I’m currently 9/10 weeks

I spoke to the GP and a friend who is a nurse in the NHS and between them they said it can take 6-12 months to regulate depending on how long you’ve been on the pill
