Help me make sense of blood test results?

I’m 29 and TTC 2nd child since August.

I’ve had some weird spotting day 22 onwards for a few cycles now so got a private blood test done, private GP ordered Day 21 test only:
Estradiol: 966 pmol / L
LH: 101 IU / L
FSH: 28.3 IU / L
Prolactin: 395 mIU / L
Progesterone: 2.84 nmol/ L
Folate serum: 15.2 nmol / L
Testosterone: 1.16 nmol/ L

My private GP was not helpful at all and only stated my progesterone was low but as I have regular 28 day cycles this is really not a concern. I find this difficult to accept as it suggests no ovulation has occurred as it’s so so low below the 30 threshold?

Further confusion, I did clear blue ovulation testing this month. First day I got a hollow circle then the next day got a static smiley. But this blood test is showing my LH levels really really high?

Can any clever people out there shed any light on any of this? None of my results are in keeping with a “normal” day 21 test?

The blood tests you've listed need to be done on different cycle days.

The LH and FSH should be done on CD3
And progesterone 7 days post ovulation. They're called CD21 tests assuming you ovulate on day 14, but that's not always the case.

Your tests will need to be re done on the correct days to be accurate 😊

Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it! So the LH & FSH results on this one are meaningless without further context?

I think the private GP ordered this because she suspected the spotting was low progesterone. Do you think this test sort of marries up to that conclusion? This was actually taken on Day 22 of my cycle (it was a Monday so closest I could do).

They LH and FSH results will be totally inaccurate as they need to be done on day 3 to find out the baseline your body is working at.

The FSH level they've taken from you on cd22 is the as level as someone in the menopause! Which you clearly are not if you're having regularl periods. Ask for them redone, you want your FSH under 8.9, ideally 6-7. And your LH to be similar or slightly lower.

If you ovulated on CD15 that month then CD 22 test would be accurate for your progesterone. You need over 30 to confirm you've ovulated between 19-30 you may or may not have and under 19 suggests you're not ovulating.

Get the blood work redone as if they're not on the right days it's meaningless!
