BBT dip and then gone on to have a BFP?

Has anyone who received a BFP had a BBT drop that’s not the drop due before your period?

We’ve been TTC for 8 months and this month on 8dpo I had a tiny spec of blood once when I wipped, a pea size amount and nothing since. I’ve never had this before so I naively thought this could be an implantation bleed especially as my temp went really high 9dpo. 10dpo this morning and my BBT has plummeted right down to the cover line, this doesn’t usually happen until my period around 12/13 dpo so now I think i’m out again this month.

Has anyone had a BBT dip and then gone on to have a BFP?

I did, one day big dip then the next day it went back up, got my BFP 2 days later. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

I’m in a similar boat! Had tiniest specs of pink/brown on wiping yesterday and today - currently 8DPO. I had a dip on days 6 and 7 then went back up this morning. Really hope this is an inplantation dip!

I wasn’t temping when I fell pregnant last summer but I def had a little spec of implantation bleeding because I remembered thinking it was pre-period spotting and my period would arrive soon. 5-6 days later I realised my period hadn’t turned up over the weekend and bang, a strong line! Sadly the baby had a chromosome problem and we had to say goodbye at 14 weeks so back trying again.

This cycle has been all over I usually ovulate CD16/17 but I didn’t even get a positive OPK until CD21 this month. I’ve never dropped this low but trying not to get my hopes up as the tiny bit of blood I really thought this month might be it!

I’ve attached my chart this month, usually if my temp had dropped this low I’d already be on my period.

Definitely sounds like a possible implantation dip, fingers crossed for you

When are you going to test? I'd probably allow at least two days from the dip. My temp had climbed 0.2 of a degree this morning so I'm really really hoping this is it. I'll be 10 DPO tomorrow, period due Sunday but I think it might be a day or two later as I actually failed to ovulate after my first LH surge this month - I would never have known had I not been temping!

@MrsScotland i think I’m just going to wait it out now, my temp rose to 36.78 yesterday but then at 36.65 this morning so think I’m out now! I’m gutted as I was so hoping with the few drops of blood it was an implantation bleed!

Ah well I can hardly believe I’m saying this but I had a strong positive this morning at 10 DPO.

I had another rise this morning to 36.87. I def had implantation bleeding on cycle days 7 but mostly 8. There was nothing on day 9, which gave me a suspicion as normally if it was spotting on the run down to my period, it would only get stronger and more frequent.

Really excited and hope this time we get a healthy baby to come home with x

unfortunately AF arrived yesterday, I’ve no idea what the small bleed was on CD8, maybe it was a fertilised egg trying to implant but without success. I guess I’ll never know!

Thank you so much. I really hope it happens for you soon. The temping certainly helps be in tune with your body and yes, you might well be right about the implantation. I once watched a clip of a sperm being injected into a egg for IVF and the egg just shattered on impact. It made me realise just how challenging it is, even if the sperm and the egg meet. Not helped by me being 39 too.

I've been TTC for 8 months and have luteal dips most months but never had a BFP. I think they're common due to hormones. Often referred to as 'implantation dips' but they don't necessarily mean implantation.
