I had 2 very faint lines on Sunday night at 10dpo and since have had very faint lines every day on IC tests which don't seem to be getting darker. My period was due either yesterday or today. I usually have a 26 day cycle but ovulated late for me on CD15 so today is CD29. I did a digital this morning with FMU and it was negative. I'm sure this must be a chemical but I'm wondering how long it will take for my period to start and was hoping others would share their experiences please.
I have absolutely no symptoms other than needing to wee a lot and feeling tired.

Second photo 11dpo lunchtime
Third photo tests 10dpo, 11dpo, 12dpo and 13dpo

Last nights test.

Threw this mornings away with all the tests as decided I'm not pregnant but had a faint line.

I had a CP last year, got a faint line on some tests and others were negative (I even tried two different tests in the same urine sample and one was faint positive and one was negative). There was no progression over about 6 days of testing, if anything the positive lines were starting to get lighter and taking longer to show up. Then on the 7th day after the first faint positive I started to bleed what felt like a normal period.

It was a few days later than my period would have been, but not much. And if I hadn't of done early testing I would have never even know it happened.

I ovulated as normal in the following cycle.

Sorry you are going through this, you never actually know what is happening as there are lots of things that can affect the test like the time of day or concentration of urine. It is unbearable not having certainty but it is a matter of waiting and seeing what happens. Sending you strength!

I would say if you don't bleed in a few days and still getting faint lines it's probably worth getting checked out to rule out an ectopic.

Wish you all the best

Ahh, so sorry, CPs are so hard. I had one in November- I got lines like those from 11dpo to 13dpo and then AF rocked up a day late at 14dpo. I knew the writing was on the wall from the complete lack of progression (especially when I got to 13dpo and they were still squinters like that in the evening), but that didn't make it any easier after something like 21 months of nothing.

Thank you so much for replying. It's so horrible isn't it. I just my period would start now and put me out of this misery.

Similar to PP, I had a positive test at 10DPO, never got darker… at 17DPO it was still really light but visible and I started to bleed. It was like a normal period and only a few days out, and I ovulated as planned with no delays the next cycle. I actually was caught pregnant again and I’m now 8 weeks!
I read a lot that people conceive the month after a chemical.

good luck x

I'm so sorry this has happened to you too. So difficult and painful, with the waiting just compounding the distress 😔
This month I have had a chemical too, faint lines for 2 days and my period came. Very heavy and painful today.

Really hopeful for us that next month we will conceive. I've heard a lot that the following month is a good chance. X

Any update op?

teampacey · 27/02/2024 13:38

I started bleeding on Thursday and it was heavier than usual and last longer so definitely a chemical. I'm doing ok though, have a HSG on Friday and hoping we get our baby soon.

Thanks for checking in.
