Hello,

Just wondering if it’s likely this is a faulty test, as I’m only 5dpo, it’s an incomplete line, but came up immediately - unfortunately I’d already thrown my wee away as I only really tested as I’d had a several drinks last night and a few social cigarettes and had that “oh no, what if this is the month” moment. I had a strong LH peak on 12th last week, assuming I ovulated the following day.

The only thing I can think is that I’ve had two LH peaks/hyperovulation this month. I tend to have a rapid surge over an evening, rather than a steady increase, so would have been fairly easy to miss an earlier one when I’m testing half-heartedly right after my period.

I’m obvs going to retest with FMU tomorrow, but just wondering whether to keep it to myself until I’m sure one way or another, before telling my partner - when it could just be a faulty test. This is our first month of trying together!

Thank you x

Sadly I wouldn’t count the test since it’s not a full line. Hopefully you get a better line with the next test! 🤞

I’m not sure as the line is incomplete and that would be quite a strong line for 5dpo. I think you need to test again 🤞

Retested with FMU and looks negative today. Will retest in a few days time.

It's virtually impossible, unless you ovulated at least a few days earlier than you think. Implantation takes at least a week.

I know, my only potential theory was if I’d had two LH peaks and ovulated twice - the first ovulation being much earlier in my cycle (so several more days dpo), having missed a first potential peak through lack of diligence. I have diminished ovarian reserve and am probably perimenopausal which increases the chance of hyperovulation.

But negative test this morning, so looks to have just been a faulty test.

The plot thickens, done another this afternoon as I’d not been for a wee for ages and knew it would be concentrated and have had the same thing happen again.

Think I’m going to order some FRERs on Amazon and wait till the end of the week to test again. If it’s a true positive then I should be in no doubt by then.

Pics of this afternoon. I wonder if this is a dodgy batch of the easy@home ones.

How many DPO would you be if you think you ovulated earlier in the month as well?

Hiddenvoice · 19/02/2024 20:07

Looks like it could be the start of something! I’d try wait a few more days and then test again with a different brand.

I’ve no idea, as if I had another peak I didn’t catch it on OPK’s. It was the only theory I could come up with that could mean a true positive at this stage, nothing confirmed.

I’ve ordered some FRERs from Amazon and i’m going to wait until the weekend, I think.
