Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in March 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Feb to March! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

@RW269 thank you guys 💕

YaWeeFurryBastard · 05/03/2024 05:34

I hear everyone on the Christmas baby thing. Only about three months ago I was adamant we’d be taking a break in March to avoid, absolutely no chance of that now, we’ll be cracking straight on. What cycle is everyone on?

YaWeeFurryBastard · 05/03/2024 05:54

BFN this morning as predicted 🤪. Progesterone test is still positive so will keep going but just have a gut feeling it’s not my month!

My plan is to get this weekend out of the way and then order an exseed sperm test for DH, has anyone’s partner done one?

Lemonyfire · 05/03/2024 06:12

@YaWeeFurryBastard also in an ideal world would avoid Christmas- won’t be holding off at all.
for me it’s cycle #1 since mc- prior to my mc it took 18 cycles to conceive.
I have two children and had another mc 8 years ago and with all I got pregnant within 2 months of trying so this was quite different

Really sorry to hear that ☹️ and everything crossed for you! I naively assumed it would happen for us first or second go, but I don’t think it’s to be. It’s the not knowing how long it will take that I hate.

Dogscanlookup · 05/03/2024 08:10

@emmatcc1 there’s always hope as each pregnancy for each person can be different, so you won’t necessarily get the same symptoms! But I know it’s hard to not compare to previously.

im cycle 4 since last MC.
@YaWeeFurryBastard what DPO are you today?

Today’s a big day for me … 8dpo and I’ve not got past this point without spotting which always leads to AF. Praying it doesn’t happen! PDG test was a strong positive so here’s hoping 😩

8dpo cycle 2 so I know it’s only early 😫. Everything crossed for you!

Dogscanlookup · 05/03/2024 09:09

@YaWeeFurryBastard ah yeah it is, no losing hope just yet! Thursday can’t come soon enough.

pleurotus · 05/03/2024 09:22

10dpo and caved on the old testing. Potentially got a squinter but could also just be an evap. I'm using the easy@home tests but not sure on their sensitivity.

Have been feeling pretty normal bar the mild cramping and unusual cm yesterday.

How does everyones partners act during the tww? I feel like my husband doesn't ever think about it or ask me anything and it makes me feel quite alone to be honest.

Sending everyone strength and positivity!

TTC1990 · 05/03/2024 09:29

Morning everyone,

Ive just been reading through and catching up.

Sorry to hear some haven’t got BFP ‘yet’. It really is so hard when you want something so badly 😫. Let’s not give up hope!!

I’m CD13 and still no positive ovulation test. Does anyone else feel like their life just revolves around testing and waiting?

@pleurotus I completely agree with you regarding the husband thing! I don’t think my partner even knows what the ‘TTW’ is 😂. Fingers crossed for your potential test!

He is really not up for the idea of a Christmas baby, so I feel we will be out next month. Then it’s May and I feel like we’ll basically be in the Summer! I’m experiencing lots of friends/family announcing pregnancy at the moment so feeling the pressure x

CadoAvo · 05/03/2024 09:53

Hi all,

I'm also in the club of checking potential due dates 🤣 November would be a lovely month for me as it's our wedding anniversary as well as my mums birthday who passed away. However last night I did sort of panic about being on mat leave/coping with a newborn in the depths of Winter...am I overthinking it?

I'm also not keen on having a baby so close to Christmas however I'd much rather have a Christmas baby than no baby so we will try next month if this month isn't the one. With my cycles I reckon I'd be due really close to Christmas, like the 22nd or something. So keeping everything crossed I get a BFP this weekend.

As for this cycle, currently 6 or 7 DPO and have felt absolutely nothing. Last month I had a few "symptoms" that turned out to be nothing. So far this time I haven't noticed anything.

Dogscanlookup · 05/03/2024 10:25

@pleurotus im sorry to hear you feel alone, I think it’s just very different for men as it’s not their bodies. But it’s why we’re here! My partner hears everything and is supportive but I feel bad when I’m slinging details of my discharge at him tbh 😂 I love this thread as everyone jumps on the discussion rather than looking queasy haha

Dogscanlookup · 05/03/2024 10:30

@CadoAvo I’ve thought about this with a winter baby - my daughter was born in April and it was such a lovely hot summer and the nights seemed shorter. But pros to winter - by summer baby will in a better routine for you to enjoy the sunshine plus big jumpers in winter to hide the baby weight 😂 and over Christmas partners have more time off on top of paternity to help support you!

YaWeeFurryBastard · 05/03/2024 10:37

I have absolutely raging PMT today 🙄 everything is setting me off! I have a horrible feeling there’s something wrong and it’s just not going to happen for us ☹️.

I love this positive thinking! You're right though, by summer baby will be bigger and more settled and can enjoy it more themselves. And in winter I wouldn't even need to think about shaving my legs as well as coping with a new born 🤣
My partner is a teacher so was actually thinking last night about either being able to enjoy the summer holidays together or, finances depending, finishing mat leave earlier and let them have the baby over the summer 😎

Chaz693 · 05/03/2024 10:49

Pms has hit hard today. Just have this feeling that I'm out this month.

My partner doesn't pay any attention to any of it. Think he forgets that we're even trying half the time lol! Wish I could almost be like that. Make me less anxious and stressed.

TTC1990 · 05/03/2024 10:54

@CadoAvo my first was born end of October and I actually found it a really good time to have a baby! I went in to hibernation, figured out what the hell was I was doing. Then by spring/summer I was in some kind of a routine and could go out and enjoy meeting people!

@YaWeeFurryBastard sorry to hear you’re feeling like that. It can really be consuming and those ‘what ifs’ can just take over our thinking. I’ve been trying to remind myself that is NORMAL to take a year to get pregnant. Although I appreciate it’s so hard when people fall straight away. My brain doesn’t understand the logic in it!!

@Dogscanlookup it’s definitely reassuring to have somewhere to go to share our crazy thoughts/symptoms/feelings! My partner is so supportive but is also so chilled and doesn’t understand my stresses!

pleurotus · 05/03/2024 12:02

@Dogscanlookup so true. I do find it quite hilarious how open women are with eachother on here but I love it

@Chaz693 I feel you. We are ttc no.3 and I want this baby as much as I wanted the first two but husband is of the opinion if it doesn't happen within 3 cycles then we should stop trying because he doesn't want too big a gap, which is ridiculously ignorant imo.

emmatcc1 · 05/03/2024 12:20

@pleurotus How old are your other two kids?

emmatcc1 · 05/03/2024 12:26

I’ve started cramping just now and it’s quite strong.

pleurotus · 05/03/2024 12:30

@emmatcc1 they're 6 + 2.5 so if I fell pregnant this cycle it would be another 3.5 year gap.

When is your period due?

emmatcc1 · 05/03/2024 12:55

@pleurotus That’s not even a big age game. My sister is 11 years younger than me.

Af is due on Saturday, it was literally just one strong cramp that started in my lower back and moved to the front, lasted a couple of minutes.

Daniki · 05/03/2024 12:56

8dpo and i also caved and done a test. BFN! No spotting yet usually starts soon before AF as I have low progesterone 🤪

SummerSun24 · 05/03/2024 17:20

@CadoAvo my LO is a winter baby and I really liked it! Like was said above I felt I had a perfect excuse to haul up in doors while I got on top of things and the weathered warmed up when I felt more like getting out and about 😊

Same here for the partner! Told him I could take a test on Saturday finally and got a 'oh right, cool' . Not that he isn't supportive and wanting baby number 2 as well but I do feel they wash their hands of it when the fun part is over 😂

I had one 79p 3 pack cheapie i couldn't resist (told myself something along the lines of fresh pack for fresh month) wich was obviously negative on 8dpo with evening urine.

Symptom spotting got me going cuckoo as well. So frustrating that they a pretty much all the same as PMS!

RW269 · 05/03/2024 17:24

I caved in today, 9dpo and it was negative, which I knew it would be cause it’s still super early 🤦🏻‍♀️
Wish I hadn’t though cause now I just feel like having a little cry and feeling sorry for myself even though I know I’m being ridiculous and it could still become a positive!
