19dpo lines not progressing :(

Hi everyone. This is my first post and just looking for anyone who has had a similar experience. We have been ttc for 5 years, had our first failed ivf last year and was just about to transfer the funds for our next round when AF didn’t show and I got a bfp 14dpo! All the tests have been clear positives that come up in the the first 30 seconds but they do not seem to be progressing and I have fallen down a rabbit warren of comparing my tests to other people’s and they just don’t seem as dark. Pics are of clear blue 15dpo-19dpo and FRER 17dpo and 18dpo (I only had a pack of 2 of those). I know I shouldn’t focus on line progression but so many people seem to have really dark lines by now. Thanks all x

@L1984 we should try and make a pact not to test for at least two days haha 😂

Awaywiththeferries123 · 08/02/2024 12:08

@Iro29 I think you’re being really sensitive, I’m in no way being rude.

If she’d gotten 1-2 weeks then how would you have felt?

I’ve been through 7 miscarriages. I’ve been through all the excessive testing, the progression analysis and none of it helps except getting professional tests in the way of blood tests or scans.

How you can advise another woman struggling with this to take another test on a thread of people advising her not to is beyond me.

Iro29 · 08/02/2024 12:13

@Awaywiththeferries123 again, it wasn’t advice, it was just empathising, saying what I’d done. It’s an internet forum, it’s just for discussion. And again, I’m aware non of it helps (read my first post).
im very sorry for your experiences. I too have a lot of fertility issues which I won’t go into here so again just trying to empathise and have a chat with someone in the same situation.

Omma23 · 08/02/2024 12:14

Step away from the tests, @L1984
You’re pregnant. As others have said line progression isn’t a science. Those lines are strong. Save that energy for the upcoming nausea, sickness, tiredness etc etc. 🤣 book your early reassurance scan and from there you need to surrender to the process of growing a human xx

Rosiiee · 08/02/2024 12:15

I didn’t get a dye stealer until 23dpo! Your lines look right on track!

@L1984 i haven’t tracked this cycle properly but I think I maybe 18/19 dpo. I did a clear blue digital this morning and got 2-3 weeks so that’s maybe me feel a bit better so I’m realllllyyyy going to try and step away from the tests for a few days haha 😂 maybe try a digital if you’re feeling worried?

@Iro29 I’m sorry to derail this thread anymore but your last line clearly says ‘maybe try a digital if you’re feeling worried’.

That’s advising someone to do something, something they’re already been told won’t help their anxiety and could have led to even more. Which is why I encouraged the OP not to, which you thought was rude.

I’m glad your current pregnancy is going well and I wish you all the very best with it.

Iro29 · 08/02/2024 12:22

@Awaywiththeferries123 I’m not going to engage with this anymore.

sorry everyone for the derailment! Wishing you all the best x

L1984 · 08/02/2024 12:32

@Omma23 thank you so much xx

@Rosiiee thank you so much that makes me feel better xx

@Iro29 i appreciate your comments and I made the post for this exact reason to share experiences which has already been helpful! As for not testing for a couple of days, I will try my hardest but no promises 🤣 xx

@L1984 thanks! Good to know there’s someone out that in the same situation ☺️ here’s hoping we can both stay away from the tests for a bit 😂 wishing you all the best with the pregnancy ☺️

@Iro29 You too! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Hi, just wondering how your pregnancy progressed? I'm in the same situation, 19dpo, tests have not progressed in at least 5 or 6 days...visible but not dark :(

L1984 · 21/04/2024 18:03

Hi @Hal88 I am currently 15 weeks with twins!!! Got our 16 week scan in a few days 🙏🏻 you really can’t read anything into line progression, my tests were always very clear though and the line did appear quick. Wishing you all the best and ending baby dust your way x

I know it’s been a while but pls how did it go ?

L1984 · 08/01/2025 08:58

@Cherry126 I am currently sat looking at my beautiful twin girls who are 4 months old. I know it is easier said than done but I really wish I hadn’t been so obsessed with line progression, some people seem to see a lot of progression some don’t. I didn’t feel mine got much darker and I was pregnant with twins! Wishing you all the best xx
