Pregnant after miscarriages- question re. Aspirin/ progesterone

Hello.
My history is 2 miscarriages then my baby, one more miscarriage and now I've just had a positive result again (11dpo).
I have q doctors appointment tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy with a blood test.
I've read about taking aspirin/ progesterone to improve chances after repeated miscarriages so I would like to ask my doctor about this possibility.
Do you know if you have to have had progesterone levels checked to be put on this or can you just ask to start it anyway?
Thank you for any advice or experiences.

Congratulations 🎉
I was on progesterone prescribed by the Early Pregnancy Unit in the hospital, GP couldn’t do it. They did a blood test my levels were good, but because of my previous miscarriages. The hospital needed to do a scan to confirm my pregnancy was in my womb first. I also took baby aspirin 75mg a day from when I found out I was pregnant. Good luck ✨💖

I also took progesterone to prevent miscarriages after having four in total.

See this from Tommy’s: https://www.tommys.org/sites/default/files/2022-11/Tommys%20Progesterone%20Guide%20FINAL.pdf

You absolutely can and should ask for progesterone if you meet the criteria. GP can in theory prescribe but they are quite reluctant - taking the Tommy’s info to them can help and Tommy’s advise this, or you can go through the EPU. Tests related to my miscarriages also suggested I had a clotting issue so I took aspirin throughout and was told there was very little risk with doing so.
