12dpo - bfp - pregnancy test didn’t turn pink

I’m currently 12dpo, took a CBD test today and noticed it didn’t turn pink. Anyway, I still waited 3 mins for a result to see what would happen but accepted it was going to be negative or an error. After 3 mins I came back and to my shock the test showed I was “Pregnant 1-2”. My initial reaction was this can’t be right as it didn’t turn pink and it could be a false positive. I’m going to test again on 14dpo or 15 dpo just to be sure, but just wondered if this has happened to anyone else.

Hi, the digitals aren’t supposed to change colour at the tip so it definitely worked! I got my positive digital this morning and I also took two regular tests which were also positive ☺️

Congratulations to you too! I don’t know why I thought they turned pink, I was convinced they did. Well as I was 12 dpo I will still wait until 15dpo test. Still very much in the denial stage 🙈

Congratulations! I think it's only the blue due cross ones that turn pink? The digitals stay the same :)

A false positive on a digital would be very unlikely, congratulations 😊

Congratulations! I'm 12dpo today and did a clear blue. I can't tell if this looks like an evap line or not but there is a very faint line. I don't think I trust it tbh thoughts?

@MrsW32 I think all clearblue turn pink except the digital. I was surprised at first as well, was totally expecting it to be pink.

Update - after this positive I had a couple of negative tests. Today af arrived 💔 From what I have read, possibly could be a chemical pregnancy. Just so upset right now. Hoping to get a GP appointment to see if they will investigate more but in this climate, feel like they will fob me off.

@MrsW32 sorry to hear that. Would this be your first loss? If so unfortunately they won't do any tests as it's sadly so common. Xx

@moosey89 yeah it’s my first loss. Yeah I spoke to my doctor who was great but like you said there’s not much they can do and it’s just one of those random natural things. Didn’t think it would hit me this hard though 💔

@MrsW32 any loss is so difficult. Give yourself time to process it and be kind to yourself. Statistically (if it helps) you aren't at any greater risk of loss for a future pregnancy after one loss xx
