Copper IUD, cramping and spotting

I have had the copper IUD in for around four months and have had no issues other than extended bleeding - usually my period is around 4 days and relatively light, however with the IUD bleeding has been heavier and lasted up to 10 days. I track my cycles and ovulated around 8 days ago, and my period is due in 8 days. I started cramping yesterday, and again this morning and had light pink spotting when wiping today. I would have expected to have this at this point in my cycle and have only ever actually experienced this with implantation bleeding with my now two year old son. Does this sound like an implantation bleed? Slightly panicking!

Nope. My bleeds were heavier and inconvenient when I was on the coil.

Was frustrating, but no pregnancy scares.

My periods with copper coil were ridiculous, I'd bleed for 3 weeks straight, get a couple weeks clean/ occasional spotting then bleed for another 3 weeks! It was a year of what felt like constant bleeding and never knowing if I was coming or going. I got it removed and my periods went back to normal 🤷🏼‍♀️
