Hi all,

V v early pregnany (11dpo) and I'm feeling awful. Ache all over, so so tired, really cold.

Posted on pregnancy forum and was told its normal but surely this isn't right? Has anyone else had this?

You're probably just ill. Pregnancy symptoms don't really land until 6weeks

Sara1988 · 01/02/2024 03:58

Yeah this is what I'm worried about. Don't want it to effect the pregnancy

Probably just a bit under the weather,

Hi, I felt nauseous, headaches and tired 3 days before my test was even positive and still now at only 5 weeks. I was in hospital Tuesday (for another reason) and the obstetrician told me this is not unusual. And here on mumsnet many other women share that they have very early sickness symptoms. Fingers crossed it improves!

Mammma91 · 01/02/2024 07:51

It could be pregnancy related or you could be run down. I was very sick in the first trimester and I was barely coping. Rest, lots of fluids and paracetamol if you feel like you need it.

What did y'all do about work? It's making my job impossible.

I am struggling with work to be honest. I work at home 4 days a week which is really helpful. I've made some ginger apple juice because ginger really helps me with nausea. Taking paracetamol for the headaches. Having an afternoon rest when I need between meetings.

Ohh can you share recipe? I think I might have to tell work earlier than I wanted to.

@Sara1988 it is on BBC good food. I was getting them from pret but already getting expensive just a few days in so I made my own. 😂It's really helping me.

I also like to use the bottlegreen ginger and lemongrass cordial with sparkling water or hot water where I've gone off tea.

Ginger shots recipe | BBC Good Food

Start the day with punchy, refreshing ginger juice. Save money by making your own using fresh ginger, apple and lemon juice

I’m a nurse so totally get it! I’m only 6 weeks and have had a bit of time off due to pain, nausea and generally feeling unwell. If you need time off, take it! It shouldn’t be counted as sickness if pregnancy related

Sara1988 · 01/02/2024 18:02

@Foxtrotbeta I've just got the bottlegreen cordial! Great recommendation! Thank you.

@Samwins I haven't even had chance to tell work yet! Will speak to line manager and hr if I can get in tomorrow
