IVF - Testing early after frozen embryo transfer

Hi, I am 8 days post 5DT (frozen transfer) and I have been told not to test for another 6 days.

I couldn’t resist this morning & I ended up testing and got a negative result 😞

I just wondered if anyone else had ever tested early and got a negative but then ended up with a positive?

thanks 😊

I’m on day 7 this is my 3rd round using fresh not great quality morula and a low grade blastocyst this time. Not had a great round at all. Last time I tested on day 8 and my clinic said not to panic could still be positive on day 11 that’s why they advise you not to test early. I only tested as had heavy bleeding. This time I’m waiting until day 11. My friend tested on day 6 had a negative but was positive on day 11 if that helps you any. Best thing to do is call your clinic they will set your mind at rest. I know it’s hard but don’t test again until your test day. Believe me it just makes things harder and more stressful.

Thank you so much for replying. Your message is really helpful and has made me feel better.

This is my 2nd round (FET). I'm due to test next Tuesday so definitely just going to hold off now and not torture myself!

Keeping everything crossed for you & hoping 3rd time lucky.

Thanks again for your helpSmile

Everything that could have gone wrong has this time . I wasn’t in the best place really my mum died suddenly on the 1st of December and I got the flu and stress acne a few days after. We managed to get through the horror of Xmas then there was an issue with my medication, I caught covid so they had to put my scans back, I got a water infection Tyrone ovary didn’t respond at all. The right was slow so extended by a week and more medication to try and give it a chance but only 2 follicles responded and were small. They were not expecting anything but i got 2 eggs and both fertilised . The 2ww this time has been torture rather than being excited like I was the first time I’m anxious and frightened and googling all the time. I’m doing this as a single woman and I’m 43. I’ve really found this round so hard so I’m hoping for a miracle really. My dad says don’t get your hopes up, it was a terrible round and you’re lucky to have got this far. It doesn’t matter though your hopes are just as high every time.
good luck to you for Tuesday my test day is Sunday.

Im so so sorry to hear about the loss of your mum, and everything you've gone through. Going through IVF is so tough & an emotional rollercoaster at the best of times, so I just can't even imagine :-( it might have been a bad round so far, but like you say, you've come this far and you just never know.. anything can happen, so it's good to keep the hope alive and stay as positive as you can! Hopefully you've had your run of bad luck and fingers crossed for good news on Sunday!

P.s. I have also been googling and overthinking everything!
