Testing LH on day of ovulation

Hi all, long time MN user but name changed for this as some friends in real life know my normal username!

Me and DH accidentally had unprotected sex tonight. I’m still breastfeeding our 8 month old and annoyingly in the worst possible timing, had my first post partum period exactly two weeks ago today, so today is day 15 of my cycle.

I obviously don’t know when I will ovulate as not been tracking cycles (had none to track!)

But prior to kids I typically ovulated on day 15 or later (conceived our baby on about day 21 but that was an abnormal cycle!)

If I bought some LH tests tomorrow and did them for a few days in a row do you think it would show me if tomorrow’s is high for example?

Just wondering if there is any way I can work out if I’ve already ovulated or not. I’m probably clutching at straws.

Looked at the MAP and can only take the levonelle one due to breastfeeding but it only works before ovulation (and is less likely to work because I’m overweight) so wondering if it’s even worth it.

I know I can have the coil but I’m really not keen on that.

We’re not against another child by any means, just wasn’t planning on one this soon!

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to work out how likely it is, or if it’s worth taking the MAP, or whether to just suck it up and wait and see in 14 days time!

Hi OP, I think if you can get some LH tests today you might as well try that just so you know, as you said you’ve ovulated late before and if this is your first cycle it may be slightly irregular. When my cycle came back whilst BF, I had a random period at 10 months then again at 13 months.
