I am so confused, how likely is it that I conceived?

Hi all! I'm not very good at wording things so I am going to keep this as brief as I can and appreciate any and all advice. I was on my second round of taking the combined pill, but on day 2 and 4 me (24) and my partner (also 24) DTD. However, I did an OPK with my friend who is TTC for moral support, and although my test was technically negative it definitely detected LH. I took one the day after and the line was much darker. I took one the day after and my line was super dark and had a reading of 2.9 when my friend also peaked and is not on contraceptives but had a reading of around 2. I also had some darkish spotting on ovulation day but nothing major. The tests the days after have been lighter meaning I did reach a peak and it wasn't a fluke. I can't do an HCG test for another week or so, but I can't help but wonder how likely it is that I have conceived. From what I have read, there are very good chances that I have but I want to hear from people with experiences.

So I guess my question is, if I had only taken 4 pills, had a very strong LH surge, and DTD two days before ovulation, how likely is it that I have conceived?

If you missed 1 pill this means that the effectiveness wouldn’t be as high which is probably why you ended up ovulating. DTD 2 days before ovulation is one of the peak fertility days so I would say there is a chance but you won’t know for sure until you get that BFP.

Thank you so much for your reply :) . Although I didn't miss a pill so this is why I am so confused, but it must be one of those flukes where it just hasn't worked. I don't think I was ill or under the weather even, and my partner doesn't think I was either from what he can remember, so cannot imagine why it didn't. I was on this same pill for 5 years a couple of years ago and it was really effective and I never had anything like this so that's why I was curious. I guess we'll just have to wait until I can do a pregnancy test. Thank you again for your response :)

Hi OP, it’s been a long time since I took the pill so I may be wrong but don’t they say for the first week of taking it you should use other contraception too? The reason being it’s too late to stop ovulation if you start it mid cycle in the first 7 days. So yes if you ovulated and DTD in your fertile window there is a chance.
