Hello! We have been trying for our 2nd child for 2 year and no luck! We are about to start self funded IVF in the next week, or when my period starts. But today I got these tests… hard to show up on picture but the top one was this morning, middle was dinner time and bottom was 5 minutes ago.
does anyone think this could finally be my bfp?
thank you for reading x

Thank you all so much I still don’t think it’s really sank in! It feels strange we darent even talk about it at the moment it just seems surreal!
I have had a couple of miscarriages in the past so I’m praying this one wants to stay!!
i Think I was focusing so much on starting IVF that maybe I wasn’t thinking about actually trying for a baby. Maybe that’s why it happened. But then when people said to me ‘if you don’t think about it it will happen’ I hated it so much! It’s just not something that is easy to do when you want something so bad.
i did a clear blue digital and got my confirmed pregnant!
And then I have been testing since with the ‘Easy at Home’ tests, not because I’m anxious, but I wanted to see the progression of lines as it’s something I’ve always searched for when I thought I had a positive. It’s still faint compared to clear blue so those of you using them tests just be aware that they haven’t been very sensitive for me!

i called the clinic and cancelled my IVF. I won’t get a full refund it will be 70% minus admin costs, which is fine. But they’ve booked me in for a scan on 13th Feb when I will be 7 weeks so I’m really looking forward to that.

thank you all for your messages on this post. Honestly means the world to me and I’m sending baby dust to anyone still waiting for their positive.

So sorry for you. I hope they can reinstate the IVF if a miscarriage is confirmed.

Hi Op,

I'm so sorry you are going through this, life can be so cruel.
The start of my journey sounds very similar to yours, I had two miscarriages after conceiving naturally before starting IVF. I'm conscious that now is a very sensitive and upsetting time and you'll need some to process things but may I suggest you consider having some testing to determine if there is a cause for the miscarriages? Sadly with our first round of IVF we only got one normal embryo after genetic testing, got pregnant and sadly miscarried. I had already had some testing with the IVF clinic but nothing showed as being wrong.

I went to the CRP Clinic in Epsom to see Dr Shehata to do testing (quite extensive) and it was discovered I had some over active immune cells that were thought to be causing the miscarriages. I really wanted to mention this as I wish I had known about the testing before embarking on my first embryo transfer. You'd still be able to proceed with egg collection and fertilisation but then could freeze embryos (I also strongly recommend genetic testing) the have the tests before you transfer.

My next round of IVF whilst on an immune protocol was successful and I am now very blessed to have a little boy.

I apologise if the timing of this is insensitive and of course everyones case is different but reading your story really resonated with me and I wish someone could have steered me towards more in depth testing prior to my IVF.

All the best xx
