Literally just turned 8dpo… could this be a VVVVFL?

I appreciate I’m testing mega early but I have loads of ultra sensitive test strips as I accidentally ordered the bigger pack of tests.

I ovulated last Friday evening so I’m literally on the cusp of the end of 7dpo to nearly 8dpo.

I feel like I can see a line (that has very very faint colour to it) in between where I’ve marked the dots. I have inverted it where I think you can see it better. What do you think?

I think I can see the line but it’s very faint. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you OP.

Bex4567 · 20/01/2024 18:49

I can't see anything sorry op..8dpo is too early I'd say but hopefully it turns into a bfp

MissBattleaxe · 20/01/2024 18:52

I can't see anything I'm afraid. Test later. Good luck.

Outliers · 20/01/2024 19:16

Looks negative. But certainly plenty of time to turn positive.

Try holding off 4/5 days if you can. Good luck

StillStuckInTheShed · 20/01/2024 19:21

OP.

Kindly. That's negative. Stop testing until you miss your period.

HalloumiGeller · 20/01/2024 19:50

Genuine question, why do people test so early? As its unreliable, so I see it as potentially giving myself disappointment when I maybe didn't need to.

We were TTC and I made a point of not testing until at least the date my period was due, but usually left it until at least 3 days overdue.

I agree with you.

I never tested until my period was late.

MissBattleaxe · 20/01/2024 22:08

I agree with @HalloumiGeller . No point torturing yourself when it's too early to reliably know.

Exactly.

Be patient, as doing an unreliable test too early doesn't change the outcome anyway.

blackpanth · 20/01/2024 22:15

I can't see anything. Test again in a few days

Me neither.

Never got a proper positive until I was at least 4 days late.

Bex4567 · 21/01/2024 23:11

Did the line progress op

So I could moderate my behaviour accordingly! It took 3.5 years to conceive, and I wanted to know whether it was safe to have a drink/eat deli meats/have a hot bath etc as soon as possible, but I also didn't want to live half my life as if I was pregnant because that's just depressing.

It also helps with diagnosing whether you're having issues conceiving, implanting, or maintaining a pregnancy - if you never get your faint lines then you might have issues with conceiving and implanting or not understanding your fertile window, if you do get faint lines that never progress then it's potentially an issue to do with maintaining a pregnancy rather than getting pregnant in the first place.

Firestarter9 · 22/01/2024 12:56

Congrats OP! Mine looks the same today 😬

I still don't believe it needs to go that far.

I know when I'm ovulating, so we would have sex around that time, then I'd wait until my period was due. I had stopped drinking alcohol prior anyway and just ate as normal, as anything you do eat won't affect a foetus that early anyway.

Many women I know conceived quicker when they relaxed, as our bodies don't react well to stress.

I think I can see a line too although it is faint. It seems to possibly show up more in one photo than the other. I hope it is positive for you.

Sobrown · 23/01/2024 15:53

Thank you! I’ve just done one PM as (AM one was neg) 8dpo and can see a very faint line still I think? I’ve edited it so can see on camera. What do you think
