Negatives and then positive to negative

I am due AF around the 21st (I have PCOS so not always 100% sure) I have had the off feeling that I'm pregnant for a few days now, just feeling really really tired. I took cheap strip tests and was seeing slight faint lines so took a clear blue early and it came up positive and then carried on testing to see progression but tests are coming up negative again? I'm so confused, I already have a 2 year old that was conceived through fertility treatment but i never had to go through the squinting to see a line on a test as it was done through scans and blood tests.... someone please help😩

bin any from previous days

and look at the current one in front of you

Might be my eyes but I can't really see any on the strip tests. I can see a line on the clear blue but those are so untrustworthy that I'd need to see it on another test to trust it. Maybe try a digital one tomorrow or wait a few days.

So disregard the positive? And take the negatives as they are?x

I don't get the thinking behind keeping tests from days ago.

Take a test tomorrow morning and that's your result.

sockmuncher · 18/01/2024 17:03

I see your period is due on the 21st. Take a test that morning or the morning after even and then take that test as the truth.

You're going to send yourself mental testing early. As you've just seen the results aren't always straight forward.

Yes

bin every test on the day you take it (in fact an hour later!)

and
just look at the current

if that is negative, then presume
not pregnant

I can’t see anything on the strip tests and I wouldn’t rely on Clearblue, they’re so bad for evaps. Wait until your period is due and test again.

LightenUpTheRideIsShort · 18/01/2024 17:11

The first clearblue looks too grey, so may be an indent, the second one is possibly due to dye bleed as it isn’t a crisp blue line. There is dye all around the line. I wouldn’t read them as positive I’m afraid.
I don’t see anything on the cheapie strips at all. Sorry.

PickledScrump · 18/01/2024 17:44

Clear blue are terrible for lines when actually negative, there’s loads of posts on them, so I wouldn’t count that as a positive. The others look negative. Don’t use clearblue, they really cause so much upset and should be removed from sale, stick to pink dye tests. You’re still early though so don’t count yourself out yet. Test on 21st. Fingers crossed you get a true positive

@Meghan746 you poor thing 😔 If only “just don’t test” was as easy as saying it! I really feel for you. I personally can’t see anything on the strips & the clear blue looks like an evaporator as it’s not thick enough…but you still have time to turn a positive so I wish you all the luck 🍀🤞🏼

Hiddenvoice · 19/01/2024 08:41

Sorry to say but I don’t see any lines on the strip tests but I’m terrible at reading them. The first clear blue looks like an evap. The second looks similar to how mine looked a few days early.
It’s hard to stop testing, I found it really addicting and checked every test but it was expensive and driving my dh mad so he hid the tests until my expected period date.
I would try hold off testing now until the 21st and go with what that test says. It’s difficult to disregard the other tests but might be for the best.

Op… update? hoping you remember to bin tests promptly if you are still TTC
