Any experience with gender selection but not IVF - sperm sorting etc

Does anyone have any experience of using gender selection methods that don’t involve IVF?

Looking into Microsort (sperm sorting) to make sure my next child is a girl.

I already have two boys and I wouldn’t swap them for the world but I have this deep longing at not having a girl.

I just keep thinking about when I’m 50 and my kids are grown up and I’ll always wonder what if/regret not having a little girl. My husband is fantastic and financially we can manage with 3 children so I would really like to have a third but at the same time I only want a third if I can make sure it’s a girl.

There are a few reason I don’t want to do IVF:

  1. it’s incredibly invasive and a lot to put my body through
  2. the high likelihood of having multiple babies - I got pregnant first time with both my boys and my mum was the exact same with my brother and I. So we are just very fertile and if there is a chance of having more than one baby I am pretty sure my body will do it 😂 although I think having a third baby would be fine I don’t think having twins or triplets would be the best.

I’ve looked into Microsort with artificial insemination but can’t find much info about it online. I know there is a clinic in Cyprus. I do know it’s not 100% guaranteed.

Cost isn’t really a factor for us and we are happy to travel.

Just looking for anyone who has experience with scientific gender selection method that aren’t IVF please??

@VORE just a little heads up, there a LOT of women on this thread that are really struggling to get pregnant & may read this to be slightly inappropriate to post in this part of the forum as most of us would just love to be pregnant regardless of the gender. I’m sure your posting comes from a good place but I think maybe you would get more traction & positive replies if you try the pregnancy forum. I really don’t mean any upset with my reply…just others may not be so kind with their replies x

If you want to go to Cyprus for gender selection just do IVF. It’s cheap, and you can do a natural cycle there. It’s just the egg collection side of things. Only putting one embryo back means you’re not going to get multiples. In the US gender selection is allowed and normal so responses would be different there and other countries where it’s legal.

Gender selection is not legal in the uk for family "balancing" reasons.

If your so desperate for a particular sex that you would actually PAY for it, you shouldn't be having a baby imo.

They don’t generally put more than one embryo back in for IVF now- you could really do with doing some more research on it all I think.

Sorry but this is an utterly disgusting and shameful thing to do. And totally inappropriate place to post this. What you want to do should be universally illegal

Even if they put one back it can split and be identical twins
