Can you see a faint line?

I’ve been TTC for 2.5 years and I think I see a faint line on my HCG test but I can’t tell if I’m just getting desperate, I can only see it in certain angles and I’m not sure if that’s just how it always looks

@BeingATwatItsABingThing I was thinking the same thing, I did a test strip with water and could see the evaporation line but it looked a little different to the actual test line, just wandering if I’m seeing what I want to see 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know how you feel. When I was TTC DD2, I saw lines continually. It was a long 13 months!

I can see it but those easy @ home tests are a nightmare for shadows. They are quite dark pink so a proper line should have some shade of pink in it. Test again with FMU and see what comes up!

So just an update, I can still see a faint line but I’m now wondering if it’s a reflection on the evaporation line as I can only see it in certain angles. I may get an early detection digital test, does anyone know if it would be too early to test?

The digital tests are often negative in very early pregnancy. They're not very sensitive.

As you don't know when you ovulated, a FRER would be your best bet.

I can also see it! Without squinting too!

TheShellBeach · 19/01/2024 15:12

OP, how are you getting on? Did you test again?

TTCIVF123 · 19/01/2024 18:30

@TheShellBeach I did, and I came to the realisation that I was seeing what I wanted to see, the line was only visible in certain lights so I’m guessing it was a shadow causing the line. But keeping my spirits up! I’ll be doing IVF in the next couple of months so fingers crossed that all goes well. Thank you for checking in!

I wish you all the best with it!
