My names 'Disenchanted' and Im addicted to peeing on sticks!

Every month I test too early, never accept the negatives and AF come,

Im on cycle 5 now and im going to try not to do it this month!

Cycle just gone AF came bang on time, morning 28/28

so this time I want to try to only test if I get to CD 29/28.

Anyone out there the same??

Am proud to report I did NOT POAS today! I did, however, eat an entire packet of chocolate digestives as a reward. Gaaahh.

Sarah, where are you up to in your cycle?? Are you due to test?

Im on CD10 today and am starting to pee on OV sticks today

Im going to be good when it comes to the pregnancy ones though and wait until I am late (if I get that far).

Last month though we only BD'd twice and it was a bit past OV too I think so Im going for the 'everyday from CD11 - 17' stratedgy!

Hi everyone, I've just completed a weekend of lots and lots of BD'ing (lovin the long weekend!). I'm on CD16 today so really hoping that we've caught that illusive egg this month. I am also a POAS addict but I'm really determined to wait till at least CD30 this month.
I have one cheapie strip and one CBD upstairs but I'm thinking of asking DP to hide them from me. I usually analyse every twinge and start testing at about CD9. It's just mental torture tho! I have very little faith in my self control, my latest addiction is now cervix checking. Over the last few days I've been checking it every time I go to the toilet. I don't even know why cos I've not even noticed any difference and I'm sure I must have OV'd at some point.
Why do we torture ourselves like this?

I think I have done 3 tests. All negative. Period is 4 days late. It's all I can think about. I need help to stop me going to buy more tests...

My LP is normally 11 days, and today I'm 12DPO....took an ultrasensitive HPT today and BFN. I think is this the 3rd one I've done this cycle! At least I've managed not to do every day!

Not yet. Am never late. Ever!
Am 24 days like clockwork. Now day 29. Haven't tested again.

hi all, i too am a POAS addict, i started tested on dpo6! and i have since wasted 9 test sticks (cheapie ones from www.babymad.com), i am now on dpo12. i said i would not test today but i did, BFN. AF due in 3 days.

DS starting to look suspiciously at the test stick in my hand as i emerge from the bathroom...

DH asked me how many sticks i have used up and i lied

i am so ashamed! i agree that if i have invested in a £10 clearblue digital i would have waited, i think.

how about your symptoms? sore boobs, lower back legs pain, raised temp?

Heron, oddly enough, my 'symptom' is having UN-sore boobs! Usually they start being sore 3-5 DPO through to AF. This month, nothing. Temp still raised, low back ache for days and days now. Every time I go to the loo today I'm expecting AF and there's no sign of her. I'll probably end up testing again tomorrow if it doesn't show up today, which will be 13DPO.

Ive been doing OPKs now for about 5 days and no rise at all, still really faint.

Apart from CD11 which was a bit darker so panicking I OVd early this month, although did BD that night so suppose I may be OK anyways.

Me and DH have had a rough week though, a few arguments (over his relatives who are in the area for a week or so) and so we had a tiff last night and was on edge the day before so haven't BD'd CD 11 or 12 so Im worrying Ive missed the boat. Actully we did try to 'make up' last night but the kids woke up lol

Ah weel, I wasn't sure I wanted another December baby anyways.

Still negative on CD13, am thinkngIm not gong to OV this cycle, not that it matters as haven't managed to BD since CD10, lol.

Will give it a go tonight though just in case.

Dont trust those bloody sticks. My period was late (it never is) so I POAS. Negative. Period didnt arrive so I POAS again when period about 4 days late. Negative again. Which is fine I was sure I wasnt pregnant as we had only tried once and that was at the wrong time of the month. Also it took me forever to get pregnant with dd and my sister is having fertility problems so I kind of assumed it would take us ages. So I drank lots of wine and ate lots of soft cheese over Easter.

Abit worried that my period still not arrived after 2 weeks so I called the doctor this morning as it says on the test to do if your period doesnt arrive. She told me to do another test. I just did and got a positive result. Am in shock.

kerala - congratulations! Don't worry about the wine and cheese - what's done is done and many pregnant women have done far worse.
