AF 2 days late... light spotting but BFN?

Just wondering has anyone ever has this before?

My last period came 2 days early (CD26) on 2nd December. I used OPT to track ovulation and it looks like I got my surge on the evening of Monday 18th December, so likely ovulated on Tuesday 19th or Wednesday 20th of December. I've been doing Pregnancy tests since 7dpo and apart from the odd indent/evap lines, they've been stark white negative.

I'm now on Cycle Day 31. My cycles are always 28/29 days so this is late for me. I put a tampon in yesterday as I was going out and was expecting AF to come as I had some cramping. When I got home, there was a tiny bit of bright red blood on the tampon so I just assumed it was AF, put a pad on and went to bed, expecting to have a full bleed this morning. When I woke up, there was no blood on the pad and no blood when I wiped. There's been no blood since. Normally I have a bit of brown blood when AF starts but haven't had any of that.

Has anyone ever experienced this? It's so unusual for me. I don't think I'm pregnant as all the tests are negative 🤔 I think I'm 13/14 dpo now. Surely I'd have a positive by now or AF?

Any help would be appreciated 😊

You've already answered your question if I'm honest. There's nothing much anyone can add here. AF will arrive eventually.

Thanks... I suppose I was just looking to see if anyone else had ever been in a similar position.

I totally understand, and I hope I'm not coming across curt. There are endless threads of people TTC and experiencing a delayed AF.

Tests are quite (99%) accurate from when your period is late. So I would just wait for it to come and try again next cycle.

No not at all, don't worry. You're 100% right. Suppose I'm just holding onto the slight chance it could be something but probably not. Just so unusual for me to be late. I'm honestly never late EVER. So weird.

@Bb542 It's not going to be what you want to hear but yes it's happened to me and sadly AF just came late.
It happened when I was trying for DC1 a couple of years ago, was just randomly 4 days late!

Then it happened the other month too, 2 days late. I think because I was ill and my immune system was down it threw my body out! My cycle went back to normal the xt month both times.

Also have had this - it’s so frustrating when TTC, but yeah my last two cycles were a lot longer than normal and like you I had fone tests and all negative. This month mine seems to have come back to normal

Thanks @Lalaland13 @Daisyrobin123 . AF I'm sure will arrive soon but it's just crazy that she's late.

Yup had it last cycle, af turned up 3 days later than usual. This cycle just gone it went back to its usual 28 days, just happens sometimes to make TTC even more of a pain in the butt!
