DTD essentially on Ov day only?

Due to family visits etc it turns out we’ve only been able to DTD three days before ovulation and on the morning of ovulation.

I know people say sperm live for five days but actually it’s only 1% of sperm that do so - 99% only last 48 hours. So that has ruled out the O-3 day being any good.

So my question is, has anyone had any luck DTD on ovulation day itself? Or is it too late?

I think all my conceptions have been from DTD on ovulation day.

We've been trying for years...tracking etc etc you know the drill, last month we DTD 3 days prior and again on the day of ovulation and I'm now 5 weeks pregnant. Lots of luck! x

With my first in 2021 we did the same! 3 days before and on ovulation day. I can’t be sure which worked but based on her birthday i think it was ovulation day!

Currently trying for our second and only managed DTD on ovulation this month, waiting for a test to arrive today as im 13 dpo so may of happened again just from one DTD on ovulation day 😂

Me and my partner DTD literally once in a 2 week window which I knew was ovulation day and we now have a 6 month old DD. Best of luck x

I had no idea that 99% sperm only lasted 48 hours and now I’m really annoyed this isn’t more publicised! All I’ve ever read is ‘sperm live five days’.

To answer your question I have two friends who conceived when they DTD on ovulation day.

Update: it was negative for me this month but I must not of ovulated when I thought I did. Was a very relaxed month and I didn’t track BTB just LH sticks.

App says I'm due to ovulate on the 6th, however, like you, family is coming to stay this weekend and I'm fuming about it 😂 they're coming on Friday evening and staying til Sunday afternoon. So we will DTD on Friday morning and Sunday evening once they've gone - and hope that's enough....
