After my first miscarriage it took 4 months to convince, miscarried again and it took 6 weeks to conceive again, I miscarried again and now I'm 4 weeks pregnant and it took 8 weeks! Praying this one sticks!

Thank you I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you. ❤

I'm a recurrent miscarriage sufferer but now blessed with children. The time taken to fall pregnant after loss was variable but not too long - anywhere from first month of trying up until about 6 months.
My last loss unfortunately was an ectopic discovered late on - ended up in emergency surgery and lost a fallopian tube.
Not ttc again as hubby now has had a vasectomy.
Wishing you all the very best of luck 😀

We were very lucky and fell pregnant the first month we tried (positive pregnancy test early October). Unfortunately that ended in miscarriage at about 6.5 weeks. We then had a bit of an enforced break due to the actual bleeding from the miscarriage which to be fair only lasted the same amount as a normal period for me (3 days bleeding 3 spotting) then my husband had to go away for work and then we tried again the December into Jan cycle and had a positive pregnancy test early Jan. That positive pregnancy test is now 16mo and fast asleep!

Who knows whether if we'd had the chance to for those interim months whether we'd have conceived, but I was grateful for the mental break.

There's no reason why you can't try again ASAP though, and you might find it helpful to track ovulation if you weren't already via both methods of OPK and temping.

Wishing you all the luck in the world ♥️

I miscarried 9th december and got a BFP 14th January. My daughter is beside me!

scaredofff · 26/12/2023 20:26

Fell pregnant in Sept, miscarried in the Oct (D&C beginning of Nov) and fell pregnant after my first period in the January

They tell you in hospital after giving birth that you're extremely fertile after having a baby. I do wonder if it's the same after miscarrying

I had 3 MCs after my first child. Each time it took between 4-6 months to conceive naturally (between 38-40). Although it was IVF that worked in the end for me x

christmasmistletoe · 27/12/2023 11:28

Another negative ovulation test but I’ll keep waiting this will all happen when it happens and I can’t make it hurry up just have to be patient.

I hope it happens for you quite quickly - and there's plenty of anecdotal evidence that it can, as you can see upthread. I had an early MC in March 2022 and it still hasn't happened for us yet (bar a CP this November). Although I am 41 and DH is 44, which I think is playing a role. But in terms of ovulation etc I think it all went back to normal quickly, as I've had positive OPKs every cycle since.

christmasmistletoe · 27/12/2023 16:20

Thank you I’m only 29 so hopefully my age helps I’ve just been wanting a baby for years and years. I have also some medical conditions that can decrease my chances but it’s not really known so was over the moon to get pregnant first month of
trying.

My last one was within two weeks of my d and c. I thought I was still having positive tests from
the previous pregnancy so they scanned me worried that they hadn’t got everything and I was 4 weeks 2 days!

christmasmistletoe · 28/12/2023 01:05

Just reached peak craziness after a hand job I syringed it off my hand into me so not to waste it I really need to calm down I think.

I got pregnant the month after my first miscarriage, then lost that one as well.

Three months later I was pregnant with my DD.

Good luck OP.

christmasmistletoe · 29/12/2023 17:16

did you do anything to help you get pregnant?

OP posts:
TheShellBeach · 29/12/2023 17:37

Just checked cervical mucus and took temperature so knew when ovulating.

whateveryouwantmetosay · 29/12/2023 18:21

I was always told (but I had d&c's) to have one regular cycle before TTC again. Something about the lining being scraped and the risk of another miscarriage. I don't know if it's true, but I definitely benefited from the time to grieve before TTC again.

christmasmistletoe · 29/12/2023 18:33

@whateveryouwantmetosay when where you told this I was recommended to wait as then they can track pregnancy dates but if I did get pregnant it wouldn’t be a bad thing

I still haven’t ovulated keep doing tests daily I wonder when it will happen

Very sorry for your loss. I waited for my period to return after my mmc in August, which arrived 4 weeks later exactly. I didn’t track ovulation in that time. The next cycle I had a strange hormonal reaction to ovulation and wasn’t surprised that I didn’t fall pregnant as I didn’t feel like my body had fully recovered. I then fell pregnant the next cycle and I’m now 12+5. Wish you all the best of luck x
