Light bleeding/spotting instead of period

Hello,
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. My cycles are 26 days, an on CD 27 but cycle day 25 and 26 I had bleeding which I thought was the start of my proper period but the bleeding was light and didn't even cover half a tampon for the whole day. I know its not implantation bleeding as it was too dark and heavy for it but not heavy enough to be a period, there is no blood today, took a test and its negative.

Am 36 TTC for 8 months, am worried there is some underlying health issue here? Been reading all sorts such as pre menopause am starting to panic!

Hi I know you say you don't think it's implantation bleeding but I had bleeding to cover one pad and it was dark,lasted a day a week later had my positive test .

Have you done a test? I tested positive on an early test, then the day my period was due filled a tampon in half an hour and was sure it was another chemical. It wasn't, baby is currently feeding. Put it down to a subchorionic hematoma.

Edit - sorry, clearly I'm blind and can't read. I'd probably test again in a few days and if still negative chalk it up to an odd month for your body but not something to stress over.

Hi both thanks for replies, my period came today (thank god) never been so desperate for it to come 😅 I had two days of the discharge then nothing for a day then AF, was a weird one!

Hi! I know this was a while ago but I'm experiencing something similar at 13 DPO. This bleeding (mainly yesterday) was incredibly light compared to my period but more than spotting. I didn't even need sanitary products as it was only when I went to the toilet. It was only one day of bleeding (yesterday) and today it's just drops. It also doesn't even look like dark red blood, just bright red.

Not even sure what I'm asking here! I am still delusional and/or hopeful but also going out of my mind searching every last little thing.

Hey @WildWhirlwind how you getting on? I'm going through the same thing atm too! Spotting yesterday at 13 dpo and similar so far today. My period normally arrives on 15-16 dpo and usually straight away with no spotting... feel like I'm going crazy 🙃

Honestly, I feel the same, going absolutely crazy! I did another Easy @ Home test today (14 DPO) and it was a very clear negative, so I think I finally have to pack the delusion in now. It must have been my period, but now I'm worried about the low progesterone, short luteal phase, possible very early loss, etc. I had a MMC at the beginning of the year and my cycle's been odd since but was finally starting to become regular, now this.

I don't expect the NHS to see me over this but I do want some tests done (privately), any recommendations? I have thought about Hertility.
