Early pregnancy sign - raised temperature?

Hi all, I am 12DPO. My temperature is 0.2 degrees higher than my normal luteal phase temperatures yesterday and today. Today my temperature should normally drop down as my period is due so I've done a test. It's faint but I think positive.
I know I have to wait and test again, but is the temperature increase a sign?
I have a very regular cycle and good history of BBT data as I have been using natural cycles for contraception for a year. This was my first cycle TTC so it's all new to me.

Also please let me know if I should post this on one of the existing threads? Thank you

@Newtosewing yes that is a BBt sign! Your progesterone keeps rising if you’re pregnant which is what makes your temp rise. Congratulations on your positive test! 😊🍀💕

BBT is a flawed metric in my view - given the number of alternative factors that might give rise to temperature.

But a faint positive HCG test is very hopeful. Try again with your first morning pee for a stronger result.

Yep was a huge sign - i was absolutely sweltering. Normally around 36.5 in luteal phase, went up to 36.7-8 in the cycle I got pregnant (sadly ended in cp but was one of the major differences I noticed!)

Thanks for all replies. To update I had a strong positive this morning, and still higher than normal temperature. I had a tiny amount of spotting but it seems to have stopped.
I feel very nauseous already so I really hope that is not an indicator for how I'll feel, seems very early for sickness!

@Newtosewing massive congratulations!!! I was also horrendously nauseous! I heard taking magnesium and drinking ginger helps in the early days. Take care x

Thank you, sadly I have started bleeding quite a bit this evening so my understanding from reading other conversations is that it's likely a chemical pregnancy.

@Newtosewing I'm so sorry to hear, I was in the exact situation a few months back. Be kind to yourself and perhaps do another test tomorrow or in a couple of days to see if your thinking is correct. I went to out of hours GP with my CP after calling 111 and their advice was just to take a test in a week's time and unfortunately thats all they can advise, and take paracetemol for any pain. Sending lots of positive thoughts 💗

@J3llycat my temperature is still raised this morning, and bleeding stopped overnight. But there was quite a bit of bright red fresh blood yesterday in a short space of time, and it hurt.

It will be a difficult couple of days wait! I'm not sure what's going on. I have no tests to hand as I'm away visiting family now, maybe that's a good thing!
