Is it possible to have implantation cramping and then bleed a few days later?

I experienced cramping 7 days post ovulation and thought that this could be implantation. I also felt a strong cramping 8 days post ovulation after I’d jogged for a few minutes. I’d never experienced cramping brought on by exercise before so felt pretty excited that it could be due to implantation.

Today, 11 days PO I had pink/ brown discharge when I wiped. It just happened this morning and touch wood haven’t had any since.

My Period is likely to come on Tuesday (Monday earliest).

Im pretty sure AF is on its way now, but I just wondered if anyone has experienced the cramping followed by the bleeding days later?

You'll certainly find people who have experienced this - pretty sure I have, it's quite common. But we tend to be more sensitive to the slightest twinges when we're TTC.

Thank you for replying. I’d forgotten just how all consuming the two week wait is. I was feeling so optimistic and sure that I was pregnant so this has thrown me today. I had planned to test tomorrow ( 2 days early) but now thinking to ride it out a bit longer and only test if my period doesn’t arrive on Tuesday.

@Sarah295 waiting until period day is always the most prudent thing to do if you have the will power. But don't be too hard on yourself if you cave in too!

It can be a anxiety inducing process and being on this forum can exacerbate it.
